Well I don't mind if its tied to crafting but they better not require specialist crap or [ Insert That 5% Drop Onry That Will Cost Gazillions ] Material into the recipe for something that's for glamour only -___-

If I had to guess, they won't be glamour items, but rather the new high level crafted sets, which are (supposedly) going to rival raid gear in power.

If it has some use like they did back then for the ilvl90/ilvl110 crafted gears, that's fine.
But in HW the crafted gear they came up with are either require expensive materials, difficult to make (2star for an ilvl180) or locked behind specialist. Here I'm hoping they don't have ridiculous requirements again if it's only going to end up as a glamour item, kinda make endgame crafting and getting the ilvl170 set serving no purpose anymore.

They've already said the crafted gear is going to be more powerful (relatively) than any crafted sets that we've seen before, so it's very doubtful that the items will only be for glamour if they do use the Allagan models for that gear.

You must not be aware of how powerful crafted gear was in ARR. During FCOB, several of the i110 pieces rivaled i130 gear for BiS status. Since they're adding materia slots to raid and tomestone gear, it's fairly likely that they're going to position crafted sets as another path for acquiring the most powerful gear more intentionally this time, since it's going to be more powerful than the FCOB gear was.

The part you quoted was sorta of a mini rant that I shouldn't say actually xD and yeah I do remember they mention somewhere about crafting gear better but anyway I think I rather they use a different new design for the new crafts and keep the allagan models somewhere more accessible to those who just want it for the looks.

Honesty this is the last thing we need. I imagine they might make use of the npc that already sells the augments for relic gear and all you need to do is turn in left side pieces along with "augment items" similar to what we have done in the past. I prefer if SE doesn't pull a punk move and make all those farm runs that many of us did during ARR and HW a wasted effort then again they do have a track record of making most things needlessly complicated and sometimes redundant. My only hope is that they don't gate it behind specialists and put it all on one specific class similar to what they did with the augments and alchemists but I fear that is more than likely whats going to happen.
