Me either?
I have been DPSing on my healer since I got cleric stance (level 6 skill). I have 101 days or 2424 hours of playtime, and CNJ was my first class. I made that well before FCoB came out.
It's possible. I have a hard enough time getting people to say "Hello" never-mind respond to criticism and/or requests. On the rare occasion the melee will listen to me when I say "LB", but that's like 10% chance.those who think their special, i have learnt people dont like they are doing their job wrong, instead of saying to the healers "DO DPS U SUCK AT HEALER IF YOU DONT", they could ask "Healer could you please help dps" if you ask nicely then healers will dps.
Healing and dps is not about skill but about confidence, people only do what they feel comfortable.

So you had a healer who pushed it too far. Or was bad. At least he tried to do more than the bare minimum. There are obvious risks inherant with healers dpsing, by your comment am I to assume that you took one side of this arguement to be saying it is totally risk free?
I have caused wipes learning my limits, but they are few and far between. Sometimes people die, thats what rez is for... are you saying that people shouldn't try because the possiblilty of failure exists?
Funny because the most arrogant players to me are the ones that will never admit that they can improve, they are perfect already. They have to write walls of text to justify how they play.

But my argument it is not mandatory for a healer to dps, it is OPTIONAL, so they can chose.. so people should not be demanding, by clicking their fingers and yelling at healers, instead they should be asking nicely.
I 100% agree, people should not demand anything. However, I equate it to demanding a tank use cool-downs, a DPS using utility, buffs or the limit break.
I never have seen anyone demanding or kicking healers for not DPSing. This is a fantasy that pure healers created in their heads.

Has anybody argued that it is optional? There are lots of optional things in this game. Some might say that it is not an option if you run with them, but even then it is still an option, it just has consequences.
I almost did, one time in thousands of runs. It was one of those low level dungeons where a SCHs fairy can literally heal the whole thing. He was running in circles bragging about how he was doing nothing, and I was in a bad mood. And even then it was an "almost" thing that had more to do with the attitude than the action.
