Here is something interesting iv noticed over the past 72 hours. It appears bot programs now have control over the market. I checked the retainers of those bot programs and finding names like xfzzz3 and names like that from retainers on the market. they are automatically undercutting whenever a item is put up for sale. Apparently it is being done on multiple items across the MB. SE needs to step in and get those bot programs removed.

ALL sales, whether real world or in a game, are fueled by supply and demand.

The demand is so high that item x sells in less than an hour for 120k everytime it is put up. So why does someone think "Oh I'll put 40 (non stackable ones) of them at 8k and therefore destroy any chance of the price ever going up again"?
I mean, even if you have many, what do you gain by undercutting THAT much?

You guys are seriously over charging people... to the point that they they end up buying gil just to get this stuff. For example the Mog mansion on my server is going for 15+ mil.... The moogle bush is going for 5 to 7 mil.... Other housing items are easily going for 4 to 7 mil. 3.0 Glamour items are going for 900k to 3 mil a piece.

The Mog house item requires multiple items that are gated behind RNG and a significant initial investment (into building airships) to acquire, a couple of different specialist recipes out of classes that make almost nothing else, and the participation of several people to advance the crafting project. Most of the 3.0 glamour items require rare drops from treasure maps - which are a time gated resource; people who sell them are giving up the opportunity to do a map that day in exchange for gil - to make. These things are expensive for a reason. You're free to encourage more people to get into these markets if you want (which makes a difference - on Balmung the glamours are going for maybe a third of what you quoted.)

40 items at 8K which reliably sell at 120K within an hour? Sounds like an excellent opportunity to buy them up and make a few million gil reselling them.

I under cut mostly because I want gil, and I know it makes 3 people on Zalera who sell LW glams, like I do very annoyed. I know they buy them thinking they can re-sell them later, only to find out I make these days all day long sometimes. Im sitting on a stupid amount of glamours, and don't let them beat my prices often. I've sold them for less then production cost at times, just to really annoy them.

I didn't have the space for them ._.
So, they ended up getting sold at 8k each, and since then everyone puts them up for around 8k too, since the sell history only has prices around that price now. Which is stupid because making them is more expensive than that x.X

Honestly if you don't like the prices craft it yourself or have a fc member. Glams and housing items has always been a luxury.
There are plenty of making Gil without touching crafting, gathering or rmt.

Im neither here nor there when it comes to undetcutting. But tbh, Who says who gets to set the price on an item in the first place. Its a free market. This isnt a hive mind where a person must adhere to a price pattern and history. So it is what it is. If the matket becomes unprofitable, move on
