Prior to the update to Quick Venture rewards, I was earning gil comfortably selling things that few other crafters would bother to make (AF augmentations, for example). Since few people were willing to make these items, I saw it as an opportunity for profit.
With these new updates, I found that many of these areas of the market are quickly becoming oversaturated. Since Quick Ventures provides these types of items for practically nothing, the new flood in supply drives the price down to practically nothing. This drastically limits the opportunity for crafters to make a profit. Also, since fewer people are actually crafting these items, it lowers the demand for the materials required for those recipes. Again, limiting the opportunities for crafters to make profit.
Moving forward, I would like to see Quick Ventures limited to untradeable items or items that cannot be obtained through crafting. Leave the crafted items to be produced by crafters. If there was such low demand for some items, even before the update, I see little reason why these items should be given away practically for free.
