Actually, I'm pretty sure the animations for the Vanu are not the exact same as the ones for the player characters. I know they're not for the male version because when you stand there with the Vanu dancers it looks different. So I assume it would be no different for the female characters.

What's really wrong with it is that it seems to be more "cutesy" than fierce. Particularly the Miqote in the gif above, it's like "Aww look at her she's trying to be all badass isn't she adorable?" which isn't really what the dance is supposed to be about.

I play a female character to play as a female. If I wanted Male animations, I would've just played a Male. Having shared animations is dumb as it is. Having the same animations, loses gender identity and I for one hate it when a game treats me as a male when my character is clearly a female.

Could it perchance be fixed by changing the eyebrows of the performing character?

Lmao, that made me spit my drink on my laptop.

Also, I'd say maybe. I think eyebrows also could make you more adorable. K-on Example:

    Pickles ftw

This is a great attitude to have.
The "everything should be the same for everyone" crowd is uniquely strange. I'm not sure if they want a game full of life and vigor, or a grey cubicle simulator.

I don't mean changing the eyebrows themselves, but their position. A great deal of expression is in your eyebrows. The Miqo'te on the last page looks fierce performing the haka, but her hair hides her eyebrows. So it could just be a problem with the eyebrows making it look expressionless.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I mean, I get that the female dance looks a bit expressionless but I'm not sold on that being in the movements.

I just think the whole thing looks incredibly stupid. I skip the cutscenes from the vanu vanu dailys that show me doing it

I would be embarrassed to try to emulate that dance in real life. The room I'm in would probably erupt in laughter.

Oh, yeah I suppose, though wouldn't that mean we'd have to spam the angry emote to look fierce? Btw I think the faces already have a mean look to it, its just the body movements that seem to break apart from it and make it look all synthetic and silly. Like hat robot from star wars.

Do you have any contributing suggestions and arguments yourself or did you just came on here to be sarcastic and insulting?
It's not a restriction it's giving genders more identity. What you are suggesting will take away from that there will no longer be any difference between females and males and there are far more pressing issues the devs need to focus on rather than some whiners such as yourself getting pissy because they can't have everything, so again i ask any more bright ideas you'd like to suggest?.

Actually our characters don't really have an identity other than WOL status. Giving us gender identities won't really do much or even matter since everyone is open to anything except glamour, but if we could all wear the same armor and gear that'd be more options for or characters giving the devs something flexible they can work with in the future.

I'd also like to suggest taking the "Devs should work on something else" statements and use them to make your own threads (in fact unless your a dev member you have no say in the matter). If you don't like general Discussion threads then why are you even here? (not just saying it to wolfe)
