Why do so many people FAIL at dps.

I can relate to OPs frustration sort of but the first area complained about was the Aery. This is a leveling dungeon, not an end game raid such as Alex or Void Ark or an EX Primal. Even an EX dungeon at lv 60 right now isn't really a place to complain. As long as the content is being cleared without wipes

*sigh* Sadly we did wipe 2 times doing add phase, I couldn't pick up his damage and we died by fire blast before shield come up which added to the frustration of my rant.

Not everyone is against you. From start to end I support your tread a 100%. The reason why people tries to bother you, and push you to the point of break, why? beacuse they want to take the worst of you only to make it as an excuse to show more people that "you are wrong" but you arent. You just have ignore this people, we live on a comunity where people "doesnt want to be told that, what they arent doing is not what they should be doing", they want to learn by thenselfs or they just wanna do whatever they want and dont event care if that bothers orther people, beacuse they are selfish.

So far we have hardcore players - casual players - low/bad players, the low players are the ones of poor experience, the reasons can be many, most cases beacuse old content is super easy and most of key fact of the jobs they play are skiped withouth notice. But of coruse on this kind of players we have the ones that want to improve and the ones that dont want to.

I have seen lots of threads and people alwars respond the same. You know something tells me that most people that are criticising and saying "no,no,no,no", sure that they have already being called "bad player" by someone on the game. Why else would it be? I see no reason so start insulting the thread creator, when is more than clear that only wants to adress an important thing so it cab be an small chance of change, and that he is only targeting the players that dont want to become better beacuse they dont care how they play at all and dont care if they are selfish or trolling. Coomon!

I have being in countelss of dutys and I saw this 2 kind of low players, for the good ones what I did is talking them friendly and pointing them a guide. Some of them said me thanks, orthers do not

Long ago I made a thread of the same topic, and like you almost did I gave up beacuse of the same reasons. I really got tired of being insulted for no reason and also seeing threads with the same topics with the same results.

But you should not give up, for those poeple that dont care how bad they play and only think on themselfs, dont give up. My advice is that you tried to stay calm and give irrefutable evidence so they cant say a word agains you. Even if they keep saing, just when you see they are saing noncense things, you will see that dont have more excuses and you just have to ignore them. Just dont give up.

For the one that tried to frame you, report her/him. You right logs doesnt prove anything.

Most probably im going to have lots of agressive coments but well XD
I hope that they new stuff on 3.2 changes the way of the player's performance.

Anyway, I know what you mean about going into Void Ark and having a group struggle because half of the dps aren't even paying attention. I went on scholar last week and watched a ninja in my group repeatedly stop using skills and stand around autoattacking, and I got really frustrated with having to spam heals to keep him alive while he just stood in everything (and it didn't help that the white mage wasn't doing much either). After watching him die to Bile Below on Cuchulainn for the third time while standing standing 10 feet away from the boss and doing nothing, I asked him not to afk or at least let us know beforehand...And he and his wife/girlfriend/whatever (she was the white mage - coincidence?) both ganged up on me and told me to shut up.

As such, I normally just don't even say anything and suffer through hour long runs with groups repeatedly dying to the same stuff every time because they'd rather watch Netflix and 1-2-3 than play the game. Void Ark is boring as heck, but it's a lot worse when it takes twice as long as it should. :/

im want you call Vit-bard. i like more hp because i hate getting killed all the time here. but right now im getting new gear with Dex i belive that want bards use right now.


im on pc and i use ps3 gamepad. my main skills are on my gamepad cross bar while the songs on the hotbar 1 & 2 while my hotbar 3 have potions on it.

That is just the way i play. i know i will never be OP bard.

My guess is that all the players who would even be competent at this lose interest since this game's combat SUUUUUCKS. It's the most boring thing ever. Once I max out my crafters I'm probably quitting this game.

what does it bother you what others do ? seriously ? do your job as best as you can have that satisfaction if you dont like the group take the penalty or get kicked..OR better idea..build your own group with perfect people and play a perfect game together...I mean ....parsers are a bad tool...people mostly ALL lie at one point or another in this game be it with their numbers, their aptitude or anything else...people live a dream that they can be perfect and some find a realization in being perfect it in here rather then i n RL:...just stop blaming anyone for anything ..blame yourself..and move on..the rest is ..irrilevant, life would be so much easier. It's one thing to point out the faults of others and show your frustration. It's another when you don't point out a solution.

The OP made a giant leap forward by saying they could a DPS class to the fullest. And when evidence said otherwise, then she/he became defensive. Instead of back up claims, nothing but excuses were made.

To sum up the first several pages....OP criticizes others, gives very little input on how they can improve and then shows that they are not better than the people he/she is criticizing. She/he is "never" wrong, instead there is some excuse given. "I'm dead, I was being carried, etc". Instead of something like, "I had a bad run, I may have not performed as well, or some other reason that seems made up.

The reason people commented and were keeping track of this thread? Is because the OP was full of themselves. We all know that there are several players that are bad. But to make a thread criticizing and not giving much input for them to improve? What is the point of that. To just B*tch and complain?

Think about it, if you're just complaining about other players who you think are under performing and can't provide any soluble solution to what you think is the problem, what does that do?

The problem with the OP is the arrogance she/he has and the inability to admit the points that have obviously been shown to be contrary to what is being discussed. Someone who is "always" right is in many cases....not.

Worse off, you give next to no solution to what you think the problem is. Your arrogance is what turned so many people against you in this thread. The reason people said this was popcorn worthy is because they enjoyed others ripping your poor argument apart.

It was also funny how you got upset because someone posted your IGN, but you had no problem making others feeling bad for their "poor" performance.

Able to maximize dps on any class eh, blame ilvl for low mnk dmg. At ilvl 190 and dead there still isn't a 500 dps difference and the alive uptime on demolish and tod is laughable. Don't complain that people in df are just as bad. You have no right to demand more of them when you yourself aren't putting in the effort.The people that go around posting your fflogs.com aren't the elitist in this case. It's you. You demonstrated numerous times in this thread that you too have little to no understanding of what it is like to play at "maximum efficiency" from claiming that your performance was severely lacking due to gear to your misinformed perception of full vit tank is best. My static group did all of savage progression using tanks with either melded or full str gear and many other groups have proven that full vit is worthless. If you want the community to change for the better and want to know how. Look in a mirror and sat with yourself before you go and blame others.
