So the full ToS that details this is something I clicked to agree to over 2 years ago, and any updates since then aren't ready accessible online?

The UA or User Agreement has not been updated since August 2013, most presumably because it has not been necessary to.


The Square Enix Account Terms have not been updated since 2011, as they presumably not been necessary,

The Software License Agreement has been updated in June 2015, presumably because it was necessary to update it for Heavensward.

The Materials Usage License was updated in September 2015, presumably because it was necessary as the soundtracks are released periodically and so it must be updated.

I am not responding to your arguments about griefing or monopolization, merely to point out where and what updates to the policies there are. If I had had that in mind I would have quoted that post.

I linked the ToS way back in this thread, then someone made claims that the "full tosh" was more specific in defining harassment. That's the document I'm looking for. I'm wondering if it's a PSN/Steam ToS thing and not a SE/FFXIV thing.

I also reported a person selling a plot on my server the same gm got my call and asked how was they selling it I told them over pf.

which was taken down shortly after my call.

the gm in question also told me to google "ffxiv housing sale situation" to give ppl sites that are about this.

read the above. I have /tells turned off due to an rtm sent me a advert during the convo and didn't weant to be ban for naming and shaming.

i also posted the support mail and the fact i had tells off you can clearly see echo is turned off as well under the seclected tab. GM calls are special and can't be filtered

in the third screenshot i show the tab i'm on and the tabs settings tells and echo are off. gm convo still there.

sadly no I'm on the ps3. and logged off to post. Screenshots were taken on my ps3 and blog posted on ps3.

i posted 3 screen shots 1 of the gm convo, one of the letter i got from support about the gm call. and a screenshot of my chat preference. all should be on the same tab which is labled tell And i have echo turned off.

again i have no reason to lie, please don't harrasse me over showcasing what gm said. According to the reddit post it fairly new and not all gm know.

I can also confir, the previous post IS NOT a fake due to having spoken to that gm a few times. to fake a gm convo via echo you would have to know a gm name.

a fake would have made up a name. seems more like you guys are in denial and trying to fight proof. when you have evidence against you.

my screen shots say otherwise the a gm was only relaying what the senior gm was telling them. s/he told me to google and hand out links about it to get ppl aware. a gm can't go "go look on reddit there is a post about documentation on a supervisor on there"

please look at the time to the left and chat box to the right in both images. how can i echo a convo and talked to the same gm in a minutue? i clearly have tells abd echo off but the gm convo is still visable.

also, this is a new character on a new account due to needing a new psn ID I rage deleted my character azazura azura. who was lvl 50 war, max gc rank.

I hit the daily limit due to my character being low level. Its a forum rule that you have a limit based on level of main character.


echo faking is against the rules >> impersonating a SE employee. I also have no flash drive or no computer just a ps3 and windows tablet. but really i posted a screen shot of my tell tab setting with echo clearly being off and the comvo still active.. It wasa a legit gm call. with a legit gm.

Actually, you would be surprised how many GMs actually pay attention to Reddit. There are tons of GMs who sub to the FFXIV sub. And anyone with any sort of intelligence knows that if any company wants to find out what their players want, they go where their players are.. Reddit, the forums, the game, etc. So a GM CAN go look on Reddit, and I'm sure the DO look on Reddit. Everyone is skeptical of your screenshots because they look fake. Not only that but the grammar and language are all wrong.

A gm can't tell a player to go check out reddit. I also gave proof its not a fake. My echo is clearly turned off and it wasn't a "hur dur" ima unselect it. That tell tab is for tells only, all i did was turn off tells. I didn't do anything to my setting, just show case the 1) tells are off 2) that echo is off. you can clearly see the accept tab is grayed out (it only lights up if you make changes) And you can clearly see it was 1 min between each screen shot. I'm in the same spot. echo again off and the conversation is still visable. what are the odds of me making a gm name up, only to get that gm?? in roughly 1 min. thats a .000000000000000001%.

he/she was only relaying what they got told by a supervisor. to quote the convo " I was only trying to relay what you said to someone else" "gm: I can't give you any links but google has some sites about this, you can google and give out the sites to people" i reply "What do I look up, gm replies to housing, i don't use google much" (i don't) "gm: one second" gm: "look up "housing sale situation" you will get a hit" It was the same gm i spoke to i did google it and got the reddit thread about the supervisor statements.

i have 0 reason to lie nor would i impersonate a gm. I don't wanna get banned over it. impersonat8ing a gm aka SE employee is against the ToS and forum and a bannable offense. i like playing ff14 tyvm.

Not to be rude Azazua_azura, but you are getting annoyed at the wrong people and also not reading what I said.

A) /echo is -not- in the same tab as /tells and that's the only tab you show. It's in the announcements tab.
B) You don't have timestamps turned on, so no we cannot know that you spoke with a GM and had an actual conversation with them.
C) Names of GMs are all of the place. In screenshots and when people see them in-game such as the Paris Vigils. It's not hard to know of one.

If you have read my posts you would see that I am more convinced that the NA GMs are saying that this has been deemed inappropriate behavior, but in order to make a point to deniers and nay-sayers you also need infallible proof. An easy-to-fake conversation is not that. If you had the GM in sight in your screenshots, with your timestamps turned on, yes.

And do you really think trolls would care about rule-breaking?

i didn't think to add time stamp, i also do look around the web for gm names the convo did take play, i was reporting 2 aholes from my party which you can clearly see. i have tells off due to a rmt.

I woulda taken screen shot of the second time i talked to the same gm. but some ahole was harrassing me during it. which is where the quoted happen. I'm getting sick and tired of being called a lier.

I'm getting upset because im trying to be nice and relay the message. i do not want anyone banned over something this petty. I had a situation on WoW and was banned for being harrassed simply cuz i posted on the forums what i was called and asking how to report it.

I do not want others to experience similar petty bans. Can't be nice with the NA community that is literally how i feel atm. I have nothing to gain from lying.

We already know the deed/permit can be bought and traded. We're talking about the plot of land or the actual house itself. This whole system is flawed.

You're thinking of the housing permit, the land deed is the ownership deed of the actual plot.

I would assume one of two reasons:
1 - GM tells can't be filtered out, and all other tells were
2 - it was faked and made in /echo with the color changed

I don't know if #1 is an actual thing, but it wouldn't surprise me. I do know that #2 is a thing.

According to his post, there was an RMT tell sent to him in the middle and since he can't edit the names out, he decided to turn off the /tells in the chat.

I believe GM conversations override all those types of restrictions (such as when they send you /tells in dungeons).

I cannot confirm my suspicion 100%.

Edit: It would have been magnificent if the GM would have said "yes these people selling for gil..." since a lot of people are in denial and keep saying these responses are for RMT. Or also he appeared in front of you and you had your screenshots taken with him in sight because as Stouter mentioned and as mentioned by OP, /echo can be used to fake /tell conversations. People in denial would be insistent on it being faked or people in denial can fake and troll with their own messages. Note that /echo is in your announcements tab not in the standard chat filters.

If you can, can you send me screenshots of the entire thing, like this, even with the RMT? I can help edit it for you. You just need an image editor like paint to do a quick squiggle over the names.

I had no idea that "selling" your house was against ToS. People have been doing this on my server since personal housing hit. I haven't seen any issue with it, as it's helping ppl get some of their money back. But, that was before. I'm on a break since the relic drop and haven't been seeing the housing war.
