Why does that screenshot look like a one sided conversation?

Not only does that look one sided and like a clever use of /echo, that's not anywhere near my experiences with GMs who ask more specific questions, have better grammar and use different words of reference. Could be real, but looks a lil too shady to be. Especially since the GM told her to google it. A GM is not going to tell you too google a vague subject for an answer, they would give you direct links to official SE sites.

Plus why is someone with only lvl 30 jobs who cannot even buy a house yet so invested in the housing situation anyway? Sending GMs harassment reports about something you are completely locked out of anyway sounds more like harassment than people selling a commodity. It's like sending a GM a report of dungeon harassment in a dungeon you have never been in and cannot enter

I also reported a person selling a plot on my server the same gm got my call and asked how was they selling it I told them over pf.

which was taken down shortly after my call.

the gm in question also told me to google "ffxiv housing sale situation" to give ppl sites that are about this.

The trouble here is that the response still isn't specific enough. We need to see them categorically state that ALL selling of housing plots for ANY reason is against the ToS. There are many players selling a house they legitimately used who don't want to wait 45 days to get only 80% of the value back. Denying these players the ability to sell actually slows down plots from re-entering the market and makes the problem WORSE.

I still think SE is only taking issue with the players that bought houses with the intent to resell them at a mark up. I don't think the actual act of selling them is against ToS at all.

And let's not get started on the fact that the EU and NA GMs are saying opposite things on this issue...

Every bit as flawed as saying flipping houses is a grief tactic and monopolization. Every bit as flawed as saying "I want the plot next to my FC house, but another FC is monopolizing it."

I don't even know how to describe your attitude except poor. You're only in here to try and troll. Stay on topic. This is not about the market board or ONE player who has ONE house. This is about multiple people buying plots and reselling them for insane amounts and whether it is against the ToS.

You know this wouldn't be so much of an issue if there were actually decent ways to make money in the game. The only thing generating a lot of gil is chinese farmers due to having multiple accounts and scripting dungeons for gold. YES, you can script an entire dungeon in this game because dungeons are ALWAYS the same.

read the above. I have /tells turned off due to an rtm sent me a advert during the convo and didn't weant to be ban for naming and shaming.

i also posted the support mail and the fact i had tells off you can clearly see echo is turned off as well under the seclected tab. GM calls are special and can't be filtered

in the third screenshot i show the tab i'm on and the tabs settings tells and echo are off. gm convo still there.

sadly no I'm on the ps3. and logged off to post. Screenshots were taken on my ps3 and blog posted on ps3.

i posted 3 screen shots 1 of the gm convo, one of the letter i got from support about the gm call. and a screenshot of my chat preference. all should be on the same tab which is labled tell And i have echo turned off.

again i have no reason to lie, please don't harrasse me over showcasing what gm said. According to the reddit post it fairly new and not all gm know.

I can also confir, the previous post IS NOT a fake due to having spoken to that gm a few times. to fake a gm convo via echo you would have to know a gm name.

I don't think anyone in denial as plenty of people are against people buying up plots just to resell them for higher value, just found it odd that couldn't see the whole conversation cause it quite easy to block out names unless you don't have a usb drive and a computer that even has the most basic program of paint, and why edit a existing post if it a reply to another post?

I had no idea that "selling" your house was against ToS. People have been doing this on my server since personal housing hit. I haven't seen any issue with it, as it's helping ppl get some of their money back. But, that was before. I'm on a break since the relic drop and haven't been seeing the housing war.

I'm still not sure that it actually is against the ToS. All I see them doing is citing "inappropriate behavior" and not a specific section that is being violated.

What a person is paying you for is to be present when you relinquish your plot. That's it. How is that against the terms of service?

Actually, you would be surprised how many GMs actually pay attention to Reddit. There are tons of GMs who sub to the FFXIV sub. And anyone with any sort of intelligence knows that if any company wants to find out what their players want, they go where their players are.. Reddit, the forums, the game, etc. So a GM CAN go look on Reddit, and I'm sure the DO look on Reddit. Everyone is skeptical of your screenshots because they look fake. Not only that but the grammar and language are all wrong.

What a person is paying you for is to be present when you relinquish your plot. That's it. How is that against the terms of service?

We still have yet to be told yay or nay by anyone. It would seem that a lot of the team is on Holiday but if we persist enough there should be something official by the new year. There needs to be some clear terms laid out for housing as it is in the grey area. One side says yes, its against TOS ... the other side days No, its not.

I'm not making fun of you. There are just some glaring flaws in your story. Like googling for links. They are going to give you direct links not rely on a google search from various subscribers to hand out official information, at least that has been my experience in any game, ever.

And how are we supposed to know this is a second account? I ain't no Miss Cleo lol but still reporting people on content you are completely locked out on, even if it is a new account, still seems more like harassment than anything to me, but I guess that's just my perspective.

Not to be rude Azazua_azura, but you are getting annoyed at the wrong people and also not reading what I said.

A) /echo is -not- in the same tab as /tells and that's the only tab you show. It's in the announcements tab.
B) You don't have timestamps turned on, so no we cannot know that you spoke with a GM and had an actual conversation with them.
C) Names of GMs are all of the place. In screenshots and when people see them in-game such as the Paris Vigils. It's not hard to know of one.

If you have read my posts you would see that I am more convinced that the NA GMs are saying that this has been deemed inappropriate behavior, but in order to make a point to deniers and nay-sayers you also need infallible proof. An easy-to-fake conversation is not that. If you had the GM in sight in your screenshots, with your timestamps turned on, yes.

And do you really think trolls would care about rule-breaking?
