Oh I forgot to mention another wish which I've been thinking about a lot lately (eventhough it might be impossible to implement, sadly)

The ability to be able to switch your race according to the job you're playing. It could work the same as changing jobs (instant)

For example: I main SMN and AST. And I'm a Miqo'te. But I wish to be a Highlander whenever I switch my job to Ninja.

I know it's wishful thinking but it would be neat for those that like more than 1 race, and don't like to do the same grind on their alts, just because the race is different.

More varied statistics on gear. Give us Job/Class-specific stuff as well on gear, whether through set bonuses or something like the "Mastery" stat from WoW (that did something different for each class and specialization). Four stats is just not enough for interesting gear variety. Sadly, something like this probably wouldn't make it into the 3.x era (so not in 2016).

More eastern (MNK/SAM/NIN) armor! I'd especially love to see upscaled versions of some FFXI sets (as they did with Ares and Koenig for the Wootz armor sets), most especially the Arhat's set and the Usukane set.

-This, or something close to it, since I'm really tired of gear in this game being extremely boring. You can play around with the secondary stats somewhat, but that has such a marginal effect...

-A Merit style system. Linked to the above somewhat, I guess... The developers concern with both is that new players would be left behind and have to grind up, but I find that to be very stupid and shortsighted... The resulting game we have, where progress is essentially reset every ~6 months, is incredibly shallow. Being new and having something to work towards isn't a bad thing, if it were you wouldn't be giving us a second Relic weapon quest, because the Relics are guilty of this exact problem, and despite complaints Relics are still one of the more popular pieces of content in this game... Slap a use for EXPing post-60 and I'm a lot more tolerant of things like Atma grinds... Grinding FATEs for Atma and nothing else? Sucks. Grinding FATEs for EXP and Atma? An improvement.

-Speaking of Atma, remove the RNG... Still have a chance to get a full drop per FATE, but have a currency drop which can be exchanged for the drop. The problem people have with Atma is that it's purely RNG, you can make absolutely no progress in a day. If a currency drops, and 100 of those = 1 Atma? Then you're making progress no matter what, and the RNG is more of a lucky reward, rather than the communities number one enemy.

-Speaking of currencies... You're killing my inventory, please start slapping these things in Key Items or something... I've got the four unidentifiable items, four beast tribe currencies (which you could add two more to, and a third come Gnath dailies...), Red and Blue Gathering and Crafting tokens (+four), Brass and Steel Sky Pirate Spoils... The list goes on, lets not dare add Fishing Tackles to the list... It's ridiculous, do something about it...

-Speaking of inventory... The Glamour system is terrible. There is no reason I should have to hold onto gear the way I do (two whole Retainers dedicated to the task!), more so since there is no use for the stuff once I've got a superior item level (could fix that with my first point though). Let me shove everything in the Inn Room Armoire Chest, and let me directly Glamour items from it, without having to remove them. Then, then you need to fix the Glamour Prisms, because they're the biggest waste of space in this game... Why do we need so many types? Work them exactly like Dark Matter and Repairs. Do you know why self Repairs work? It's because I only need the craft leveled. It's because I can carry a single stack of Grade 6 Dark Matter, and that can repair everything. If I wanted to Glamour on the fly (why wouldn't I? I just got in Coerthas, its cold, let me Glamour a winter coat. Now I'm at Costa de Sol, let me Glamour some swimming gear), I'd have to carry not only the gear, but potentially 35 different varieties of Glamour Prism. It's stupid. Like I said, work it like self Repairs; Grade 5 OmniPrism as a cure-all for all your Glamour needs.

-Workshops to be reworked and expanded upon. Remove the Light Party requirement, it's stupid and achieves nothing, I just end up wasting three other peoples time. Instead, have it so multiple projects can be worked on at the same time, but different members. So member 1 might be making one thing, and member 2 another, and they can contribute to each others projects (for an EXP reward, obviously, although EXP means nothing to some of us...) if they want. That's a much better system. Only problem with that, is that there really aren't any Workshop Recipes that work for that, which is why the Sky Pirate stuff? That should have been made in the Workshop, rather than Specialist Recipes.

-Speaking of Specialists... I'm actually reasonably OK with Specialist Recipes, though the balancing is atrocious currently. That said, Specialist Recipes do nothing to address the real issue with Specialists; Specialist Skills are rubbish. The idea was that Specialists would let one level just Weaver and not suffer for not having the other crafts cross-class skills, was it not? Specialist Skills really do not achieve this... They need a serious revamp, and while we're at it, make Specialist Recipes more forgiving. Like I said, I'm OK with with them, but it seems to me that it would have made more sense to give Specialist Recipes and high Craftsmanship/Control requirement, that would require the absolute best gear, while Specialists themselves gain an innate boost to Craftsmanship/Control (maybe CP too?). Then you have a situation where Omnicrafting is still possible, it just requires a massive amount of work, Specialists have the advantage at the start, but over time everyone can access the recipes by upgrading their gear.

-Hunts... Add force popped versions already... Make them effectively endgame Levequests (which were locked to the party that started it, so the whole server can't join in), so the whole thing can feel more like an actual hunt. Keep the existing open world zerg-trash in place, perhaps have the Levequest ones require a small Hunt Seal cost to get started, but I'm sick of Hunts being content I can't enjoy... I want to go kill a Hunt and actually fight it, this purely open world system has just resulted in a zerg (which I wont take part in) and plenty of drama...

-Diadem... Well, I'm going to suggest force pops again... Zergs suck, plain and simple, but that's the least of Diadems problems, the way Gathering was handled, the way enemies were... All of it, very disappointing... Gathers just go off and do their own thing, enemies are just bullet sponges... Solution? Gathering spawns more stuff. I mentioned force spawns? Well, there you go, have some of the pop items obtained by Gathering. Those treasure chests Gatherers can (rarely) find? Change them completely. Instead of trash materials in them, give us temporary items (similar to Besieged in XI, basically they're powerful potions/etc. just there for the event and vanish when you leave). The white crystals in Diadem were pathetic, but temporary items? That could work. You have Gatherers finding these chests, getting everyone some items to speed up combat, no more need for the whole zone to come together to speed things up. No more desire to kick Gatherers, because they're actually making a meaningful contribution now. As for the force pops... Go look at XIs Zeni NM system, and work something like that into Diadem. Have the pop items be temporary items and you've got a solid objective in Diadem; Obtain pop items and work up the hierarchy to Pandemonium Warder, before the timer runs out.

-Beast Tribes, I like Beast Tribe quests, even the FATE ones (though the apparent plans to speed those up is still welcome). The addition of currency to their quest rewards? Love it. That said, I'm still disappointed that the zones are a shadow of their former self... Castrums too, for that matter... Bring back the open world dungeon feel of the areas... No need to NMs and all that mess, we have FATEs for that nowadays. No, what I mean is bring back the Treasure Coffers and Keys. How about something similar to Diadem? Truly open world, but balanced more like a dungeon, one for each of the Beast Tribes, main focus being obtaining keys and looking for Coffers to open. Similar rewards to Diadem, you get some crappy gear you can trade in for the Beast Tribe currency, or perhaps something you want to keep and use. The back of Zahar'ak has been mocking me for years now, two gates that wont budge, one seemingly leading to that tower... Lets finally make use of those?

    Changes for 2016;
    • More than 200 characters in a Moogle Mail
    • FC master/officer ability to moogle mail all FC members
    • Change housing to enforce 1 personal estate per account (as well as one FC estate to accommodate FC masters), per server.
    • Relinquished land should go into an auction process with a reserve, if it fails to meet it's reserve it goes ip for sale as normal
    • Secondary stats that are wortha damn
    • Primary stats more complex than every melee stack strength.
    • Resistance to status effects that works
    • Status attecks that atcually affect enemies - eg Pacification from Shield Swipe must be really weak sauce since nothing taller than and Aldgoat seems to even notice it.
    • Shield given back to CNK/WHM/THM/BLM, after level 50.
    • Glamour 1H weapons over 2H weapons
    • More face, nose, chin, eye and lip options in character creator.
    • More range on 'chest size' slider and change this to a 'proportion' slider with imact on chest, waist andhips/booty, within the limits the gear models will allow.
    • Proportion slider for males functions similarly to alter physique emphasizing/de-emphasizing masculine physicality, again withing the limits of the gear models.
    • Miqo'te need a bob-tail option.
    • highlanders need a couple more attractive faces for male and female
    • Eyebrows for all...
    • Lalafell with an option to be more lanky, or stout allowing for slightly taller, more proportioned lalas.
    • higher allowance for outdoor and indoor furniture
    • A 'break' and stagger system for large enemies where we can attack specific target points, like knees, and if sufficient damage is done the enemy is incapacitated for a few moments during which you have the chance to 'break' the enemy for a bonus, rare drop.
    • Extended versions of existing dungeons with much harder bonus sections With bosses that require good gear, good skill and some strategy to beat.
    • Add some element orprocedural generationto dungeons to make each dungeon run be a little different from the rest.
    • Horizontal gear progression
    • Slower vertical progression
    • Raids that are hard, but not savagely so for players that want more difficulty than normal mode, but do not want the exercise in frustration that Savage brings. KeepSavage for those who want that challenge.
    • Raid drops for 'normal' should be 10 ilvls below the mid-core harder version. Raid drols from the middle tier difficult should be 5 ilvls below the savage drops.
    • To further separate raid drops make savage tier gear dyable, make the mid and low tier upgradeable for dying, with upgrade items added to themid-core versions during the catch up patch.
    • More inventory and/or add an additional free retainer with each additional city state.

Individual limit breaks to replace the current LB system. Everyone gets two LB options.

Tank: Single target heavy damage or AOE damage reduction
Melee DPS: Single target heavy damage, AOE moderate damage
Ranged DPS: Single target moderate damage, AOE heavy damage
Healers: AOE Raid Buff (different for each healer), Full Ress (no weakness)

    Ah, I forgot...

-Dungeon play-style queues Some people want to run through a dungeon in five minutes. Others want to explore. Some <gasp> actually want to watch cutscenes, at the very least the first time they run it...

My solution is simple. Story-mode, Exploration-mode queues. Speed runners can keep the current one. If not this solution, than something. Praetorium was obviously intended to be explored and enjoyed, yet it's pretty much a marathon now. Good luck enjoying the story as it was intended... Hard mode dungeons aren't much better. People are impatient; let them play together, and let everyone else enjoy the game to their hearts content.

-I second expanded inventory I do miss being able to buy backpacks/pouches in WoW, something to that effect would go a long way... The Armoury Chest could use an upgrade as well, what with the new jobs we just got/are going to get in the future. Also, I understand SE is trying to make a bit of side money with pay-to-use additional retainers, but a third (free) retainer per character would go a long way. Also, the lame factor would be less.

They were not made to be explored. Why cater to bad dungeon design?

    You gain nothing by stopping.

If you like doing it a certain way, you should make a group for it honestly.
