Thought of one. If you start to cast Holy then cancel the spell your staff's top glows for a moment. Do that as a mage perpetual emote. Glowing staff to light the way in dungeons. Classic D&D image.

My wishlist is this:
1. Housing: Keep your promise to make personal housing separate and more affordable than fc housing. Or failing that, allow us to purchase expansions for our personal rooms that includes item limit increases.
2. Remove cast timers from Bard. Percentage-wise we are still in the same place as 2.0 compared to the other dps jobs while losing one of the traits that made the job unique. There are other ways to do something similar with Wanderer's Minuet, for instance a stacking buff the longer you remain in one position. It adds a new layer of strategy, yet doesn't look like a copy/paste of another job's ability.
3. Keep the 1.0 promise and give us Musketeer. Many of us have waited too long as it's been passed over in favor of Arcanist, Ninja, and now the new Heavensward jobs.
In closing, most of my wishlist is simply keep your promises, Yoshida, because I'm nearly ready to quit because you and SE are failing or outright refusing to keep them.
No more cast bars for Bard! Thank you, Yoshi-P! All hail our lord and savior!

omg yes totally forgot that unisex tattoo's for our characters that we buy through mog store gold saucer which ever then go see the hairstylist to add them to our character like when changing hair and stuff

I would be snarky about your "not made to be explored" comment...until I think about it. I imagine they were not specifically made to *not* be explored, but in the end the dungeons are *awfully* linear to a one. So I'll give you that point, I should have said "full-run mode"...
But do you honestly want to seek out and form a party EVERY time you want to go into a dungeon, and therefore expect others to? Sure, let's encourage SE to make gameplay decisions to LIMIT play styles! Heck, let's have 'em remove dungeon queue altogether! Is THAT what you meant?! -_-

They use to have dungeons where you had different routes you could take, each leading to a certain boss within a time frame. Each boss having a different drop. Dungeons that had paths specifically for quests (AF). I think they were made to be seen and explored to an extent. The dungeons are just so beautiful.
While that doesn't completely solve the problem, I think having that back mixed with removing so much trash in between mini-bosses with the option to extend the time limit to explore and take on all 3 parts would be fun. Though the downside is now you got people who will want to do everything and those who want to just get it done. Wow when you think about it, it really is hard to please everyone isn't it...

Real dual wielding...
Failing that, can we at least have Monk/Bard/Ninja weapons differ a bit? Bard always pulls out the same harp, why not have the harp model based on current weapon? Monk and Ninja "dual wield" the same weapon... Would be interesting to see say, Ninja with Kannagi in one hand, and Yukimitsu in the other...
But yeah, really, give us proper dual wielding instead... Take some stats off of Bards bows, and slap them on Harps, half the stats on fists/daggers and let us equip two... Christ, last I checked Ninja doesn't even deal two auto-attacks... How is this dual wielding?! Don't tell me it's impossible, Paladin gets a sword and shield... Shields even get their own little block stat, you could easily have Harps boost songs somewhat... As an extra bonus it would mean you wouldn't need to keep making ridiculous bow-harps, because a harp would actually be its own thing...
Oh, and looking at old concept art... Bard was going to get flutes and drums? What the hell happened... Could easily make that similar to shields... Harps = faster songs, drums = stronger songs, flute = cheaper, or something like that, similar to shields block rate/strength/etc.

This would be my list:
1. Major Diadem improvements to focus on exploration rather than mindless pinata-smacking (it seems they're working on it, which is a plus to me!)
2. Extreme Dungeons (4-man content) please!! ;;
3. /liedown or /playdead emote, and more glamour items (you can never have too much, really).
My one and only wish:
Make relics actually worth something in the end. They are not worth 18 "crystals" farmed from FATEs in HW areas.

Yeah, SE's got their work cut out. That's why I thought having more options would work somewhat. Nothing's going to be perfect, but trying to fix glaring holes is not something I think we should downplay or give up on. Introducing a variety of dungeons would be cool, but like you said the impatient people will still mess with stuff. Which is why I think providing queues based off of expectations could work; or at least something like that, it was just an idea...<There were> dungeons <that> had different routes you could take, each leading to a certain boss ... I think they were made to be ... explored to an extent.

Ok, content..... break the class/job system.
Break? Why yes, break it. Take the classes and turn some of them into new jobs and take others and melt them into their jobs. Add some new skulls to mix it up. I\\'m not going to list every class/job but here are a few examples... oh and also to get the old jobs would be the same as always gld@30 + coj@15 = pld, but with more in the vain of jobs to advance jobs like in ffxi..... anyway....
GLD
Tank
Duel One-Handed swords (see guild symbol)
*core skills shared with paladin, shield skills passed to pld, new skills based on the rage skills of the Flame General replaces shield skills, post-30 has to be raised seperatly from pld.
Doing this would add some level of variety while maintaining the basic skills. Not all classes would make the cut, but it would be interesting assuming the old classes get stat boosts to be on par with the jobs. And a good way to add weapon types that would be difficult to add, such as a greataxe warrior and a duel one handed axes wielding mauradur. And in effect basically add up to 10 new jobs over night.
