the specialty in the crafting system is the only thing preventing high quality crafting from becoming worthless. This should have actually been implemented with non specialty crafting as well, should of only allowed you to major in 1 gathering skill and one crafting skill as your main, all other crafts are reduced to 50% of your main craft. It like opening a taco restaurant in a city and their are 50 others of the same restaurant in that city that are selling the exact same stuff but cheaper. What would happen is most of them is that they would be out of business. The more of a items that is made the more it is devalued, because your competitors will attempt to make it cheaper. Final Fantasy XI is a good example you are permitted your main craft at max level, and all other crafts are reduced by half. This prevents the market from being over flooded with the same item's making it more viable and prevents a em-plodding economy like we have in ARR.
