There's something wrong with people not wanting to sit through multiple flavors of a mind numbing grind we've mostly done to death for the past half a year

Um, extreme trials and Binding Coil are even older content than Alexander? You're asking for the same "mind numbing grind" but with content that's been here a lot longer than the current.

First people are asking for all new content, then people are asking for a shorter grind, and now people are asking for the same grind but just with a different set of activities that are already implemented. SE can't win, there's always going to be someone complaining because the relic isn't suited to them.

The player base doesn't just want something that "takes a bit more effort" but most people want the relic changing altogether. Not to mention a lot of the player base are perfectly content with how the relic is now, so speak for yourself.
