This has been happening to me in expert runs for a few weeks now. The follow and stay in the effects area (the flashy lights) but do nothing.

I main a healer and do nothing but heal. If I wanted to DPS I would play a DPS class, I chose a healer to heal and keep people alive not DPS.
Kick me if you want but my role is to keep you alive and that is it.

Are you serious? I hope not, because if you are... I don't want to be harsh but you are bad at your job.

Actually your job is to help the party complete the dungeon with whatever means you have available. Even when I play AST I try to stance dance.... Even though every time I click on Cleric Stance the tank always seems to drop below 40%. But at least I put in the effort.
And oh, when I play SMN, I use Virus & Eye for Eye all the time even though my role is dps.

Eh don't bother, it's just the delusion of the lazy. She doesn't want to help out any more because she's a lazy player, not because she's a healer.Actually your job is to help the party complete the dungeon with whatever means you have available. mind exlaining why? cause i can't see the benefit in it for anyone. neither yourself nor the ppl running with you. if you got no time, not being lazy will make things faster. if you want a certain drop but don't like the content, not being lazy will also make things faster. you don't like the content and have no gain of it, why run it in the first place?

I'd say just be careful, when certain things are noticed. Bad DPS is a little easier to monitor, but free rides, are a little harder to judge. One example I can give happened recently, I was in Void Ark and I got locked out of the second set of trash. No biggie I guess, I said something, and apologized since i was typing to a friend and missed the 15 sec timer. Anyway, then we get up to the second boss. Everything seems fine I start DPSing and all is well. Well I stood too close to the door apparently and within all of a second, the boss did his breath attack, knocked me out of the room and the barrier was put up, so I was locked out, yay? But one key difference that most "free rides" wouldn't do, was I said something immediately. I was like "OMG, are you serious, the boss knocked me out of the room..." and several other party members turned it into a joke. People sometime legitimately get locked out, sometimes more than once, for what ever reason. I guess it just come down to do you believe what they say about it.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
That sounds like botting to me. Especially if the boss moves and they don't, even to auto attack.
