Apologies in advance if this thread was already made. I notice people saying it a lot in many threads and I do agree that glamour is this game's big part of end game. So I was curious how that made people REALLY feel.

Makes me feel that it is incorrect, because we all know fishing is the real endgame.
People say it because of a combination of the facts that the game's itemization system is so linear and content gets outdated so quickly that the only lasting goals or real point of character customization is glamour at this point.
It's sad but true.
Maybe it'll change in 3.2+ but meh.

I am enjoying glamouring my jobs but I wouldn't exactly call it endgame. But I do spend more time on this than actual raiding (savage)
Not sure if you're asking for a definition, but just in case..."End game" as used in the statement means its the most important aspect of the game. So someone who says Glamour is their end game is saying that Glamour is the most important aspect of the game for them.
As for how it makes me feel? I agree with the sentiment. I personally get a lot of enjoyment out of glamouring gear sets. I feel the idea gains a lot of traction in FFXIV because gear doesn't offer much excitement except for glamour purposes. A piece of gear with 20 strength is about as exciting as a piece of gear worth 21 strength.
A true paladin... will sheathe his sword.
Anyone who disagrees has clearly either never tried to catch a legendary fish, or has simply gotten REALLY lucky, (still haven't had any luck with that cursed Titanic Sawfish, and it's one of the easy ones). Fishing for scripts is actually a really dumb downed version, which any level 60 fisher is thankful for.....
The game has no lasting content, so yeah glamour and ponies are end game.
But this has been said countless time.
I always read it as a joke, personally. Glamour is fun - at least, I think so. And since there's not much incentive or fun in leveling alts (imo), it's nice to be able to change my one character's look pretty easily.
It can also take a lot of time and, sometimes, a lot of money to put together good sets. Sometimes longer than getting actual gear upgrades.![]()
Makes me cringe because SE knows this and knows how to capitalize on the player base who is more than willing to pay extra.
