It's the truth, that's what it is.
I wouldn't be playing this game if it had bad aesthetics and such.

I wouldn't say glamour is end game cause there are not enough nice looking sets of gear anywhere in the game to actually strive for
Thats just my personal taste of course, but 5 min at some start npcs and another 5 min at the mb pretty much covers 99% of all decent looking gear. FFXIV does not have the nicest armor styles sadly and many are recolored carbon copies of each other.
Mind you if ppl say its end game, it wouldn't bother me one bit, what matters to me, is how I feel![]()
♥ MORE HIGH HEELS + INSTANCED HOUSING! ♥!
I wouldn't care. Everyone has their own different goals for endgame, whether it be crafting, gathering, glamour, PvP or Alexander Savage.
Glamour is endgame.
Raid gear gets outdated fast, the token system is horrible and boring. Then when you get raid gear or token gear, what can you do with it? Stand around town? There's no open world bosses, nothing to really farm for shiny loots where gear would actually matter. And in dungeons your sync'd down and your stats are sync'd down as well. Why even bother actually progressing for that one night a week?
Not to mention the stats on the gear is beyond boring.

Glamours can be an endgame goal, and there's nothing wrong with that as long as it makes said players happy. It's not my endgame goal, but I have to admit that my playtime is turning into a game of dress-up (or dress-down, if you will, when my character is in a skimpy glamour).

Glamour isnt my endgame. I find one set I like and stick with it. Only dying it once and awhile.
Glamour and story is pretty much why I play this game. I grind all jobs to max level to see the stories, I grind all crafts(+gatherers) as far as I can to be able to craft all the glamour I like. Back when First Coil was The Raid, I did it just for the pretty healer set. :x I'm not too excited to do Void Ark since the gear in there looks terrible.
I also used to roleplay a lot, so that kept me subbing even when I was running out of things to do. Not sure what'll happen once I get all my jobs to 60. Maybe I'll just go buy a PS4 and go countdown the days till FFXV.

It's true. Once you reach a certain stage, most of your playtime goes to mechanical farming and capping tokens. There is little incentive to do anything but slap the highest ilvl gear on your character because there is no way to costumize your skills/gear to your playstyle (it's the same for everyone). The only things uncapped that require real input from the player are glamour and gold saucer, but they managed to turn even the simplest of games like TT and Chocobo racing in hardcore grinds so making your character look pretty and decorating your house/room is just about the only thing that's left.
Also, if you level a crafter, unless you plan on solely making money, glamour items are basically all you can craft (that and raid food). And even if you only plan on making money, there is nothing to spend gil on except glamour items as everything else requires untradable token, so it all comes back to glamour anyway.
Sad and i end up wondering why i waste so much time on the game but continue to play.

Nothing. I have nothing to do with people's playstyle, and if they like to work towards great glamours, let them be. More beautiful people in Eorzea!
