I've worked in the IT department of a large corporation. I've seen the horse trading that goes on. The department that brings in 23 million dollars profit each year gets a pat on the head and a few bug fixes. The department that brings in $230 million dollars in profit each year gets the new website, new software, and new servers.
I'm so glad I work for a university now.
Japanese industry CEOs make a whole lot less than their US counterparts. Before Wada resigned he maxed out around $2.7 million, and I suspect that after the 2013 financial bloodbath that forced his boss out, current CEO Yosuke Matsuda is making quite a bit less.I can just as easily claim (and get a forum holiday again for the claim) that the money goes straight to sake for the SE CEO.
