Actually, there was a fair amount of bitching that the relic weapons could even go to i90 if I remember correctly. No one really bitched about the original relic did they? (up to i90. Maybe at worst someone was sad they had to choose because they could only get the i80 version but... that's about it.)
It's the stupid grind they put after the awesome quest for the original relics that people hated.
That's the whole reason the Allagan weapons were made to be i95.
Right, but no one complained about the quest itself to obtain them.
Meanwhile, people take one look at Atma in its original conception and get diarrhea from the sheer amount of bull****.

Everyone's worrying about the difficulty in getting them and I'm over here hoping my SCH book doesn't like like absolute shite >#<

Already feeling meh on my weapon, if the item icon image was anything to go by anyway, as it's yet another NIN weapon that is neither in a kodachi, nor in a wakizashi style. Please add more of these types, the fact there's only two of them in the whole game for the ninja class, of all things, is upsetting when compared to the magnitude of other types of blades for them from other parts of the world.
My other class, MNK, usually has garbo looking stuff so I didn't check, but I always use either Sphairai Atma or Fangs of the Fallen Dragon so, I'm okay.

When I said that people will find a way, I meant exactly that - they'll bitch about the relic in some way, shape, or form.
The quest itself, the secondary stats, the item level... yup. xD
inb4 sch book is piety/spell speed and whm staff and astro globe both have crit. :3
Devs don't like schs to have crit. :3
