    What I think needs to be done on SE's part is a full re-evaluation of what they visioned Diadem to be. I feel like they had no real direction with where they wanted it to go, and just tacked things onto it to try to make it appealing to more people then those who just do battle content.

    I felt the nerf on 210 gear and the fast collection of the gear was coming, and I'm sort of glad, but at the same time, I feel like this has inadvertently destroyed diadem. People that have been doing it right along, will no longer do it since the ability to get rewards was nerfed. This is why I think they need to go back and look at what they wanted Diadem to be.

    I loved the original concept of FFXIV where you would have DoL/H and DoW/M fight along each other but in order to do that DoL/h needs certain abilities. In another thread i asked why not have DoL farm up key items that would help the group in battle like AoE heal items or AoE damage items. The could also remove barriers and it wouldn't hurt to have them unearth coffer with greater frequency or even Diadem specific treasure maps. You could even toss DoH into the mix by having them craft up items such as cannons, snares, campsites, and so on that would help out the group.

    As far as loot, well it should work both ways meaning it drops both DoL/H and DoW/M items.

    I'd just like to have an easier time getting chests at all with my small FC. Are there any plans to make adjustments for smaller groups? We have about 5-6 people at any given time and really love Diadem, but even in easy mode there are many inaccessable features for us.

    This is what I am worried about, personally. There's really no good way for smaller groups to have a chance at chests and the problem extends to people coming into the game later that could use Diadem as a method of gearing up. Guaranteeing a Gold chest for doing most/all objectives would be great since you still have the lockout and FC airship limitations and wouldn't be able to spam it but it allows smaller groups and latecomers a chance at getting stuff without requiring a ton of people in zone.

    They need to just go all in and make diadem more like XI's Abyssea. There are so many changes they could make that would improve Diadem and make it interesting, which is what made abyssea so much fun to be in. Simple things like
    • Locking enemy rewards to only the alliance that claims (incentivizes groups to spread out to all parts of Diadem and not pack-rat the entire instance onto the same island)
    • Diverse chests with different drops
    • Simple weakness system
    • Force spawn S ranks using key items, not random points generated by mindless killing
    • Ability to extend your alliance's time in Diadem

    I think this is a great idea. And I even think it could be "the more you have, the more the buff" (well, maybe up until 3 or something). Especially if you can't kill low level mobs for gold boxes anymore.

    I just think they need more variety of objectives to the area and randomize it when you enter never always the same. The rewards for doing them like a item that spawn a tough nm, they need to be creative though on that front imo.

    What about issues with kill credit when more than three groups are clearing the same area http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...g-Chest-Credit ?

    I find the comments about spawnrate of lower cycle mobs concerning. Mostly because of the kill credit bug when more than three groups are clearing. Most of the groups I've seen clearing low level mobs are FCs avoiding kill credit problems in comparison to when everyone zergs dinosaurs.

    Dunno if it's been said already but what about just removing ilvl 210 drops and gate them behind spoils instead? My first thought was ilvl 210 should just be removed entirely from the equation but I realize you guys probably want players participating in the content you spent so much time on and removing ilvl 210 drops would instantly kill Diadem participation.
