Tanks job is to keep the bulk of the damage away from the group and its the healers job to keep the tank alive. All dps need to do is freaken dps and pop a utility if needed. If your group can't win because of dps checks then slow down and gear up. Don't be salty...
BTW throwing more dps down the line as a healer or tank doesn't make you are a better player... All that means is you should just role as dps if all you care about is DPS. Doing your job makes you a better player.

I enjoy tanking so I can laugh at the boss because I know the healers got my back. I like to heal because I enjoy keeping everyone alive. Sometimes I throw a some DOTs down range when the tank is rotating their mitigation skills properly but I refuse to go all out as healer because I need to be focused on the tanks health bar.

To each there own but as I said before if all everyone cares about is dps then role as a dps. This whole thing about tanks and healers having to stance dance all the time is just stupid... Granted there are times when I tank and pop my dps stance while the boss is charging up and not hitting me. So i'll stance dance to help with the dps checks but other than that I'll stay in my tank stance.
I hope I don't meet those lazy tanks and healers in DF.

yes, knowing when to switch between tanking/attacking and healing/attacking and play your job to its full potential make you a better player.

not doing it doesn't make them a bad player but it makes them a mediocre at best.
