Please remove gathering from easy and Normal Diadem

I see what SE envisioned, they wanted everyone to be included but we've proven 2 weeks in why we can't have nice things, because people are not responsible or respectful with or of other people's time.

Lol, this part amused me. The same could be said about you. Maybe you should be respectful of other peoples' time. And the same argument can be said about you in reference to battle gear. You can get i210 gear in other places outside Diadem. However, there are Diadem exclusive things everyone (gatherers and others) can get at Diadem and not outside Diadem. You are being one sided and saying that people that don't do what you want to do, which is battle, are being disrespectful of other peoples' time. That could be said the opposite way around. Going off to gather is not disrespecting anyone's time because gathering is a part of Diadem. The only way it would be disrespectful is if the gatherer joined a party that specifically said the party is only for battle, and no gatherers.

No it's not. Sorry but that doesn't apply when gathering is an acceptable part of the experience. It's been said over and over if you want a full battle group party finder it. It's not that hard, stop projecting what you want on everyone especially in df.

The problem is with the system. If enough people stop to gather, the battle classes likely won't have the dps to get credit for high ranking mobs. Heck, I had a group yesterday that missed out on a star rank since we were short one dps (our dragoon dc'd 10 minutes in and never came back). That means that too many people gathering (or going afk/dc/slacking/etc but thats a different issue) could result in a situation where the people that can't or don't want to gather being unable to actually get credit for big kills. One group's wishes can stop the other from doing what they want to, and it goes both ways. That shouldn't be the case. The two groups should be working together, not against each other.

I'm not sure what the solution is, but the current system seems a bit flawed. Making it so gathering loot goes only to gatherers and battle loot goes only to battle classes would definitely help, I think.

Oh, don't get me wrong; I'm not saying there is no issue. I'm well aware of what you describe. I've done both battle and gathering when I've gone. All I'm saying is the OP calling gatherers disrespectful and inconsiderate of other peoples' time is ridiculous, except in cases where they joined a party that specifically said no gathering. I think SE intended for people to divide time between them because some gathering nodes can't be gathered from without non-gatherers taking care of enemy or enemies around certain nodes, such as this tiny pillar that has a blue gathering node and a Malboro on top, and the Malboro can see all directions, so you can't gather when its back is turned. Basically people are suppose to be working together, but instead everyone wants to just battle for an hour and a half. The reason certain people are not getting credit when one or more person from party is not participating in battle is because all parties congregate on the same enemies (dino island). If your party is the only one on said enemies you get full credit, and almost every rank of enemy from I to V can be downed by 1 party in NM, except maybe the strongest. This means you can fly with the gatherers to the gathering spot, and while half the party gathers, the other half can fight surrounding monsters. HM I'm not sure of since I never tried it yet, but HM doesn't apply here since you have to go in FC and we're talking about PUGs.

Well here is a crazy idea. Instead of arguing about how you want to ruin every ones run, how bout you argue to move the nodes to the overworld where you can solo til your eyes bleed.

But then you're ruining the gatherer's run (and if they put them in the overworld, then it'll be behind some timed node nonsense). Why don't we put all the pink i210 outside of Diadem and let them farm until their eyes bleed?

With all this though I think the best option would be to allow you to DF as a Botanist/Miner/Fisher to get in a Gathering party instead of a Battle party but then what would they do about the objectives to get esos? They get one shot by every single monster and you still have to attune to aethercurrents. So it wouldn't be fair if they couldn't hop to their battle class to get their aethercurrents so they can fly. Sure you can just say "be sneakier" but not everyone's a ninja. :P

People may not like it but SE put gathering nodes in there because they wanted them there so gatherers had something new to do. It would be unfair to the gatherers who really enjoy it to suddenly take it out of Diadem because people making their eyes bleed trying to get pink i210 had a fit. I do agree there should be some middle ground so Diadem works for both the battle classes and gathering classes without the headache but I don't think removing gathering from Diadem is the way to do it.
