Astro BiS 3.1 and CRIT ?

I post it today about Astrologian. I want to know if you have a BiS since 3.1 update ?
My astro isn’t optimized, and I wanna know if CRIT is a good option for big healing ? (diurnal and nocturnal)

Crit on AST is a stat i would go for as it helps in both sects, as does det.

Yeah a secondary stat giving negative results....uh huh......how about no.

Crit is valuable to an AST as it has direct, tangible results in both sects. With HoTs in diurnal it increases your throughtput, with shields in Nocturnal it increases the value of your shields.

But i suppose everyone should listen to the sagely advice you have given, get rid of all the crit and det on their gear for all that useless useless piety past the piety comfort threshold.

Saying Det is worthless is, to a lesser degree, the same as saying Mind is worthless.

Anyway, ignorant posts aside, there is no set best in slot anymore. It's now 'whatever best randomized 210 item you can get from diadem'.

Opposite is true. If your tanks aren't experimenting with max time in dps stances and dps rotations, than they are sub optimal.

Not only what you said but they clearly dont know what they are talking about. I am guessing they have never healed at true end game before, or even know the value of mitigation based healing (ie sch and noctural ast) and the value of crit and det for that style.

Falling on the "crit on healers cause tanks to loose aggro" is the stupidest thing i have heard on these forums in a long long long time.

And who said they're not?

Besides,, any tank worth their salt is also stacking Crit/Det. DPS stance and rotation should still hold hate as long as the healer isn't dumb and over healing even without Crit.

Also the only other options are
Det, which isn't worthless, it's a weaker form of primary stat.

Spell Speed, which isn't heavily weighted since typical healing tendencies will cause healers to just run out of MP faster.

And Piety, which provides only more MP, which has a soft cap since there comes a point in which having more of it doesn't really help you and it would be better to stack a different stat instead.

Which can really be said for any of the healer sub stats. It's 100% play style based.

I never said for SCH it was bad, its a completely different game due to the shield and the multiplier. But this is a post about AST bis, not sch BIS.

And if your playing AST with noct over a sch your killing yourself for no reason.
