Opposite is true. If your tanks aren't experimenting with max time in dps stances and dps rotations, than they are sub optimal.

Not only what you said but they clearly dont know what they are talking about. I am guessing they have never healed at true end game before, or even know the value of mitigation based healing (ie sch and noctural ast) and the value of crit and det for that style.
Falling on the "crit on healers cause tanks to loose aggro" is the stupidest thing i have heard on these forums in a long long long time.
I never said for SCH it was bad, its a completely different game due to the shield and the multiplier. But this is a post about AST bis, not sch BIS.Not only what you said but they clearly dont know what they are talking about. And if your playing AST with noct over a sch your killing yourself for no reason.

But this is what this thread is about. The OP has asked if crit is good for big healing in nocturnal and diurnal and what the stats he should be looking for are in AST. He is going to be using Nocturnal and Diurnal sect, so the stats which benefit them both the best are crit and det. Piety until the comfort threshold as well, but spell speed does not do much for both nocturnal and diurnal.
Stat effects on his shields have to be taken into account.
