I was just thinking they could add that hunter system that was in FFXII where monsters were advertised and you go out to kill it.

I believe I saw some content in the D- ... I mean, [clears throat]. I believe I saw, in some dirty DAT-Digger's blog, that there were unfinished Levequests that are just what you're wishing for; orders to go out and kill a few specific NMs and report back. Might have just been a placeholder, but it all looked pretty legit.

Also the rebirth of Triple Triad would be awesome, I spent hours playing that on FFIX, to the point where'd I forget where I actually was in the story and end up spending hours running around Lindblum shouting "What am I meant to be doing???!!! >.<

This is a very good idea although both attempts in FFXI were Fail: The Adventurers "Bar" in Jueno and the "Rentable" Coffee House in Aht were always empty. You pretty much have to force peeps to go there and I have the winner (I think):

Put Repair NPCs in the Taverns.

Everyone will go there and if there are Card Games, Chocobo Racing, Buff Drinks & Food, Bar Fights (PvP Leves), etc.maybe people will stay awhile and socialize (or brawl).
