I was just thinking they could add that hunter system that was in FFXII where monsters were advertised and you go out to kill it.

I believe I saw some content in the D- ... I mean, [clears throat]. I believe I saw, in some dirty DAT-Digger's blog, that there were unfinished Levequests that are just what you're wishing for; orders to go out and kill a few specific NMs and report back. Might have just been a placeholder, but it all looked pretty legit.
