I guess in the end, it's all a matter of perspective. A lot of people in America (and other parts of the world) prefer the Japanese VOs over the English ones, while in Japan, you could probably bet that a lot of Japanese people prefer listening to English VOs.

That's practically a fact, tbh. But a little bit skewed - they tend to consider everything ~English~ to be cool, in general.

This actually was the issue in 2.0's beta. The Japanese preferred the English dub.

That being said, the new voices aren't fake British, I'm not sure where the OP is getting that. Some originally may have been, but others like Gideon Emery (Urianger, Nabriales, also known as Balthier), were never "fake" in the first place and Gideon is an absolutely fantastic actor. He should never have been replaced.

I felt Lahabrea suffered immensely from the change in voice actor as well. I didn't find him to sound nearly as intense with a Scottish actor.
