Well that's news I didn't know this game was a race to see who can access content released for everyone at the same time. /sarcasm

SE started the 24 Hr Maintenance since 2.4. The reason why Patch 2.4 was a 25 Hour Maintenance is because the community voiced it to SE because it was set to finish at 12am PST. This is exactly 1 hour before the weekly reset, which means getting an extra set of tomestones in before the reset. This would've let to an unfair advantage to the masses that had IRL obligations if the game went up before the Server reset. That is why all maintenances end after the reset has kicked in.

Why does this even matter? You aren't competing against each other. Although if you choose to do so it's your own choice. You don't get anything by being "first" to do something in this game.

As people who would be able to wake up early or don't have any things they need to attend will be one week ahead, ie, if the patch came up 1 hour earlier then some could theoretically have completed void ark and quest before reset which would put them 1 piece ahead, in a game where it matter to some it is an unfair advantage.

Big deal. Why does it matter if someone else has extra tomes or one more piece of gear then you do? If it effects the quality of the game for you that's a personal problem.

Sorry for step in but I think he meant if the server was up a few hours before weekly reset, early access players would be able to obtain extra weekly item before the first weekly reset. ^^;
