It has everything to do with the context to which I replied.

Someone wanted to drag "grow up" into this thread because there are individuals who see people valuing their time and energy as immature.

You are taking my comparison out of context to make this argument of video games vs a irl job. My comparison was about growing up and irl vs in-game mentalities. If you want to argue about these mentalities I was eluding to, fine. If you want to keep on with this out of context point in a sorry attempt at "got cha," knock yourself out. Either way, I don't care, at all.

The game itself is pretty much a solo friendly game where you don't have to rely or talk to anyone else until end game. So... makes sense?

If the game at start forced you to interact with others and rewarded and punished you properly end game would be a joke. =P

The biggest issue in this game, in all honesty, are non-FF fans/players trying to change it into something raid-focused rather than a real FF game. Maybe because the game these people played has fallen apart, maybe because they can't accept this is not supposed to be a hardcore game at all.
You do realize SE actually lowers the difficulty of some of their FF Games because they didn't want to scare off players and hurt their sales for NA? I clearly stated that 2.0 was not intended for hardcore play it was even stated by the devs but, they are slowly removing the incentive to even play at all by watering down a game that is heavily reliant on activity. Also FFXI is the game that carried this company for years so your idea of what a "REAL FF" Game is, is skewed.

FFXI had more FF-esque feeling than FFXIV has currently.

Yes I do. I never interacted with said people and treated them more like NPCs then people because I don't know, and don't care about them. It is Duty Finder, I will never see them again.

You never have to engage socially with anyone. This game is probably the most anti-social MMO I have ever played, out of many, and it shows endgame.

XI was NONE of the things you listed though. "Feel" doesn't make it valid.

In regards to never having to group up I think a better comparison to me is back to FF11. When I first played trying to go solo was a death sentence as I remember it, you almost needed to go out in a group or a partner. Fates are a solo task unless a big boss fate and dungeons and trials group you automatically, no need to find or ask for people to join ya.

Mostly people just "quit" or go LD when things go wrong.

Are we playing the same game? The only time I ever saw people talking in a Duty Finder was back when level cap was 50 and we were doing Crystal Tower Zones. However, at that time it was "Endgame."

The game is pretty much solo level 1-59. People usually just quit or LD when things don't work out and don't even bother with other people. It isn't really until endgame people start to care.

When I heal low level zones for example, I literally just heal through people who ignore mechanics because its simply easier then trying to deal with them.

So where's the fun in wiping endlessly and dragging 7 others along with you? We aren't talking about dungeons here, this thread is about pugging savage. Using "fun" to defend intentionally bad play is one of the many problems NA has.

I'm not even gonna link the meme this time. I'm tired of linking that meme. I'm tired of a satire of the gaming community being reality.

And what did I list to begin with? I was talking about the game formula, that people want to change into a complete WOW formula.
