Adverse to what others are saying I would actually suggest leveling WHM. Raid WHMs tend to do the bulk of the healing work while the Scholar tends to put out most of the healer dps. Not to mention there isn't any pet micromanaging with WHM. HAve you tried talking to your co-healer about picking up Scholar while you switch to WHM? I have a feeling you would prefer that more than playing the very definition of DPS healer.

My cohealer is an AST, not WHM, and he certainly can't solo heal it.

My groups MCH dps is lowish, BLM could be better and our SMN dies to stupid(usually gets mini on A1S at least once, then doesn't survive the jump). MCH rarely has time to play outside raid. His gear is slightly lacking.

Replaced paste and reseated. How I didn't burn out my CPU with this little contact I'll never know. Literally, just the corner was squished as was used...

OMG PC building fail!! I am not a big fan of those Intel heatsinks though because the wires always suck and can get hit by the exposed fan blades.

Regarding Scholar, I don't main healer bc my playing partner does but I never use the fairy much besides autopilot lol. I just place next to remote people that suck at dodging and go about my business.

As an AST I'm offensed XD
In my static i'm paired with a WHM and I handle the solo healing until the twin boss part
And I never had a problem...
As diurnal AST you're as strong as a WHM to do the healing.

Your partner need to work a bit his healing timing and pre-cast
Because Selene is great for A1S P1
But EoS is stronger for tank buster.

The only other suggestion I can think of is making an Embrace macro to spam Embrace for you. I don't think it was suggested yet (I could be mistaken), so here's what I do:

/pac "Embrace" <X> <wait.1>

I repeat this line for the entire macro with the final line being an /echo indicating the macro had ended healing. <X> is just a place holder for where the tank(s) are usually defaulted to on my party list. In this case it'll be <2> and <3> and adjust as needed.

In total I have three Embrace macros. One macro for Embrace spam on the first tank on the list, one macro for Embrace spam on the second tank on the list, and a third Embrace macro using a single Embrace as a <mo>.

I don't know if this will work for you, but it might serve you better as you will only need to tap your Embrace macro on the tank once every ten seconds or so instead of constantly and might work better for your health concerns.

Eos is always fine with AST/WHM and she gets a lot of use in savage to effectively allow you to regen the raid while in cleric. We always have Selene for P1 and swap after split. Still, AST should be able to solo all healing until 0.5. With that being said about a potential gap in DPS they really should be picking up their weight.

It sounds like SCH isn't the class for you, its the most active class in the entire game. You have to macro it and you have to be constantly on your toes healing and doing your rotations.

I think SCH complexity is slightly overrated. Yes, it is mechanically busy if you're playing at a high level, and it requires great situational awareness like the other healers, but it operates on an intuitive priority system more than on any strict system of time-sensitive rotations.

Many SCHs seem to overcomplicate their load-outs (ironically so) with various macros combining abilities when they could do fine with an Embrace <mo> hot key, maybe one or two announcement macros, and possibly a few pet interrupt/placement macros to taste.
