Repair changes are a good thing.

While I will occasionally when bored walk around repairing gear in wards or in town, I would much rather create items than repair peoples crap. Its tedious.

Its also irritating to be at a camp and find out that after a few deaths gear is in the yellow or red and now I need to head all the way back to town by foot or use anima that I may or may not have much of.

Its a much needed money sink.

99% is fine as it still requires a crafter repair if you ever want to resell or trade/pass the gear on.

Crafter repairs will still be less expensive, so those who are low on gil or cheap skates can get cheaper repairs from crafters.

Now if they can make setting up repairs less tedious and make repairing craftwise less tedious player repairs would still be the way to go, except in those cases where you are on your way out to battle that minute.

How to make player repairs less tedious? Easy..
  • Add a new inventory tab [Damaged Gear]: This tab amazingly enough lists any gear that is 98% or less durability.
  • Allow us to right click on items in this tab and choose seek repairs.
  • This will pop up a window to set repair request as normal with a few exception. NO MORE removing gear to request a damn repair and having to add it too your bazaar with two slots wasted. Secondly you can set up all gear worn or just in your bags as repair needed, no limits.

How to make the repair process less tedious? Easy again..
  • Double Click Player
  • Go to the new [Repairs] Tab that appears on the character you are looking at ui.
  • Right click on item and repair.
  • Remove animation, just let it get repaired so we can move the hell on.
