That storyline ended with a cliff hanger, and the plot really seemed to be Hildebrand-esque. I have the feeling they are setting up the plot of a future Hildebrand investigation, much like when we had to rub body lotion on Godbert back in 2.0.
Doman Adventurers Guild is actually a separate section in the journal already (somewhere in sidequests I think or some such). So yeah, it does look like it's gonna be a longer running story.
