    Situational?
i mean MCN/BRD unlike MNK and DRG have a very standard and straight rotation to follow
they are more "dependent" on the fight

I'm not quite getting you. I mean, monk and dragoon both have rotations which could be described as Combo 1 + Ability + Combo 2 + Ability. That seems straightforward, on paper. Did you mean to say MCH/BRD have a rotation with less abilities?

I think we can all agree that Warrior is the easiest dps class to play having to only keep up 2 debuffs (with one being optional) and 1 dot with just fell cleaving whenever 5 stacks is hit.

    oh wait......

Sure, that's okay. It's your money. Play whatever you wish.

I'd like to know the answer to that question too.

Anyroad... I'm still enjoying my monk and am testing out thaumaturge and archer.

I really like blm for its simplicity as well, for what it's worth.

BLM might be straightforward, but the downside is the timers. AF/UI and Enochian, plus mana. Apart from that, mechanics of the encounters.
In Neverreap, you can wave goodbye to Enochian constantly, because the bosses disappear or go invul. Then you stand there, Enochian ticking away, in Fire, no mana, waiting for something to hit to at least get your mana reg going again.

Enochian is rather frustrating in that dungeon, which will play a huge part when you're 60, since it's 1 of the 2 dungeons to do for Esos. It's notta gonna get that much better when the dungeon count gets to 4, on trash that dies too fast. We'll see how the new bosses play out.

Bard seems to be relatively easy. Got one in my mid-30s, but WM doesn't add complexity, it adds cast times and reduces twitch, so the class will slow down even more at that point.

The devs mentioned some changes to bard in 3.1, let's see what that means.

The last part is simply not true though. In content where normal good BLMs deal 1-1.1k dps, I've seen several equally geared BLMs who use the 2.0 rotation and are comfortably sitting at 200-400 dps at most. That's a crazy difference and means playing a lvl 60 BLM like a lvl 50 one just doesn't cut it.
Since the OP already said she has trouble keeping up timers, I don't think lvl 60 BLM is a good idea, since 98% of the gameplay of the class is keeping up timers, the remaining 2% predicting where to stand and when to move to not lose said timers, which additionally have a rather small window compared to, for example, keeping up DoTs that last 20+ seconds on other classes.

@OP: Like many others said already, BRD may be the least problematic class because it doesn't have fixed rotations that you can mess up, isn't button-smashing either since it became a casting class post-50, the 2 DoTs can be kept up with one single skill and even if dmg output drops a little bit below the ideal, it's high utility with the songs still lets you pull your weight in a group.

Of course, if you enjoy MNK or DRG or any melee and do well with it, you can just stick with that

I definitely have trouble with timers now. It's frustrating because I like DoT classes. I played an Affliction Warlock in WoW for quite some time; but, the fibromyalgia has devastated my ability to manage multiple things at once.

Going over the thread, there are two schools of thought. One group believes that Monks are the best fit for me. The second group believes that I should go Bard. I might as well check Bards out. I just so happen to have a leveled pugilist.
