Simply my sarcasm. Honestly, as I posted earlier in the thread. All jobs are a matter of comfort. If a standard rotation is easier to deal with then melee DPS, BLM, or SMN are the way to go. If triggers are easier for you to deal with then it's BRD or MCN.
My message is that the argument that one melee DPS is harder than the other is quite simply ludicrous. They are all easy. MMO's are made that way to give the higest amount of accessibilty possible so that the game can make the most income through copious amounts of players. The argument that NIN is harder than MNK is pretty irrelevant to the spirit of the thread as neither of them require what most people would call "alot" of button presses. The GCD in this game is very forgiving.
Thats the message. I'll leave my sarcasm at home next time.

I responded to someone else who claimed monk is "far more complicated" than mentioned before in this topic and he made a list of reasons. I replied to the post in question accordingly questioning his reasoning and you threw in some random "sarcasm" that has no relation to the topic at hand or subject being discussed. My message is that the argument that one melee DPS is harder than the other is quite simply ludicrous. This will be my last comment on this as it doesnt relate to the thread. It was a joke. There was 2 pages of you two throwing around which class was harder than the other. That also wasn't in the spirit of the thread. Like I said, I'll leave my sarcasm and sense of humor at home next time I visit the forums. It was only supposed to bring a laugh. Not a bunch of flaming.I responded to someone else who claimed monk is "far more complicated" than mentioned before in the other topic and made a list of reasons. Seriously... peeps need to chill.
Flame me all you want though... now back to the topic.
At the end of the day if MNK feel comfy to you then play it! It's a standard DPS rotation with minimal dot's. A solid and easy to use dash in and is still very applicable in endgame content. If it's fun then enjoy it!

Thankies. So far, every time I hop on my monk, it feels good. Granted, I am only level 43 so I don't have all those chakra things yet. We will see. I will admit the idea of playing a flashy dragoon or bard also appeals to me. In the end, this thread has given me good insight into which class/jobs would be a good fit for me and which class/jobs would be a serious headache.***SNIPPITY SNIP SLICE DICE WHACK WHACK SNIP***

For example, Arcanist. I love the carbuncle! However, keeping track of those dots and watching out for AoEs is exhausting.
Meanwhile, I do pretty well on my Monk. I just have a simple rotation and I stay behind the mob. Easy.
I also do well with non-dps classes (white mage, paladin, warrior) because they don't have the complexity a lot of dps has. Some players like to say tanks or healers have the hardest jobs in the game, but in reality, I have to say playing a damage dealer to its fullest potential is the most difficult thing to do in this game (or WoW).
All of that is off topic. Oops.
In the end, the easiest damage dealer for me will be a combination of it having an easy to understand DPS rotation and it being the most enjoyable to play.

Ha, don't speak that thought out loud, peoples' feelings will get hurt and it'll end horribly![]()
