As much as I'm glad they are finaly doing something about the housing situation this is just a bandaid and a bad one at that. Other than the first clean wave of totally unsubed characters getting their houses wiped I doubt this will effect the wards much at all.

How long will SE dance around the fact that they drew themselves into a corner when they flipped the switch to give company housing plots to individual players? The plot system was never designed with personal housing in mind but a lazy decision from on high forced the sharing of the estates. The longer they prance around the fact that they need to FIX the housing system instead of duct tape the bursting seams shut means it will be harder to ever implement a proper system.

I don't think anyone, or even SE themselves, had said that this is the end-all fix to housing issues. It's not. I don't recall it ever being mentioned as that. It's a step in the right direction in some aspects, as far as freeing up houses from people who can't be bothered to log in once every 45 days.
