I will treasure this mental image forever.i imagine yoshi-p wearing a black suit, walks in and out of the montreal data center, carrying a metal brief case, containing hard drives with all our char data. The moment he enters his black unmarked SUV filled with personnel also adorning the black suit attire, the sound of screeching tires and the sight of vehicles clearly in pursuit of the sensitive data drift around the corner. In response the black suit crew draw their moogle sidearms just incase. It becomes a wild car chase to the airport.
You never know it might get better. the infrastructure between the US and Europe is quite good and maybe better between the US and Canada. It depends how your traffic is routed.
It does depend on your location of course, but from northern England through the WTFast server in London to the game in Montreal I get an average of 99-116 ms.
It seems that they have already connected the database as my main character is back (was quite annoying being unable to post on forums due to alt's level) so we will see soon how the ping stands.
I had about 160-200 ms usually, so the improvement should be quite good in comparison.
Oh about blood time, didn't expect to lose forum access. Now to find the posts I needed to reply to <.<
ESO is run by ZeniMax..who probably used some guys from Bethesda for coding the game. Need I say more?
We are almost there!
never had an issue (constant lags the server location is the reason for) anyway, so i wonder if I will actually notice something. maybe for mudra input in crowded areas...
I think it'll make favor mat farming a bit smoother. I think I'll lose a 1/10th of a second now and then by mounting/unmounting, between each gathering, on selecting the node, etc... I think this will add up.
So happy for the move, going from 290 to hopefully 180 ping! If its located in Frankfurt it will be possible with WTF for 180![]()
