So EU servers are finally moving to EU

Wondering how really ping will improve it... When in FanFest in London i saw a HUGE difference in response, AFAIK there was a VPN to data center so, expect to have a little worse performance than I had there.

I, err, heard it through the grapevine. I just happen to know someone who works for Fujitsu (who are who won the contract to host the new servers) and an internal memo was sent to employee's. It was mentioned in this memo that the new servers are in Munich.

There are no source, because SE haven't said anything about it, and neither have anyone else involved...

Unless SE makes an official statement before the servers are up, we just have to find out ourselves tomorrow.

When it comes to servers and Europe (unless you have multiple server locations in Europe), there are a couple of popular locations to choose from, and that's for a good reason... Those locations are central points to Europe's internet infrastructure, and the best possible options overall for everyone.

I'm not sure how good the connections are to Munich, but if they choose Frankfurt for example, they can be sure that people are gonna have a good connection to it... I just hope SE realizes that.

I had 135 ms without WTFast, 105 with it.
I hope I will have atleast around 100 so I can stop using it, but if the servers were located in Ireland as some people say, I would probably still have to use it to reach 100.

As someone already said, incorrectly placed EU server can be worse than server in NA.

Nah, unless they place it extremely horrible, it's not going to be worse.

Where do you live? You say you can get as low as 105 ping with WTFast, and if you live in Europe, you should be getting below 50 ping on the new servers.

The Czech Republic, well it depends. ESO servers are placed in EU and people are getting easily over 100ms. So it really depends on infrastructure and placement.
But yeah, we have been waiting 2 years for this, so we have to hope that SE puts lots of effort into it.
