So EU servers are finally moving to EU

ESO servers are placed in EU and people are getting easily over 100ms.

I think that's down to issues with the game code, it's just not very well optimised.

Rather than make a thread I suppose it would be best to ask this here.

I currently play on a NA server and plan to move sometime this or next week to a EU server, but I have 11million gil at the moment. I'm a bit reluctant to buy things on the market and sell them when I move to make back my gil, as I probably won't be the only person doing that and that might lead to me actually losing out on gil (on the other hand I could get a profit out of it but I don't want to take that risk).

Would it be possible for me, or even a friend (who will be moving too), to make several characters on my current server and then send them 1million gil each, and then transfer them all to the same server so I can just send my own gil back to me?

Err... please dont do that...
If Im right the moogle mails do transfer along, you could just invest half your money on items to resell and mail the other half to a friend so they can mail it back to your mailbox...
Its 1m maximum per letter if I recall...

Well I figured I could give the characters 1mil each then just take it from mailbox and then bring the characters along with me and mail them back so I will at least have 8 million back, and I could just spend the other 3 or so on stuff I want but just haven't bought yet because I'm lazy.

Your Moogle mail has room for like 20 mails. Each can carry 1mil, and they carry over. So it's probably the easiest solution if you have a friend transferring with you.

Well that solves everything I guess! I kinda assumed that there was still a gil limit even if all that gil was in the form of mail.

For those wondering if pings make a difference, they certainly do.

I moved from odin (NA) to tonberry (JP). pings went from around 260 to 110. Dodging was very difficult on the NA server, I don't really need to give it a second though with the lower pings. The difference really is chalk and cheese.
