Those 3 Primals had the advantage of competing with gear at the same ilvl so was closer to horizontal progression during that era. The others had the disadvantage of their drops being lower than those you could just buy from tomes on patch launch.

Bismark dropping i175 while you could get i180 from farming law and hunts was a poor move. Maybe they could've brought the 'Primal Focus' quest back exclusively for those two fights, so at least that way you'd get people running Bismark more than once.

Something like that would have been nice, yes. To be honest though, I only focus on gearing a single class most of the time, so even Ravana's not particularly important to me because it drops i190 weapons and we have access to i200 from Esoterics. It would be nice if they'd go back to a two-pronged reward structure (weapons and accessories, in some fashion, like the original EXes had and Ramuh EX had as well--though Ramuh EX's loot was lackluster until they buffed the accessories).

Zenith was certainly easier to get, but they were also time-gated as you needed the 900 Mythology for the Thavnairian Mists. As such, for those players that could regularly clear them, Primal Focus was a great way to get a solid weapon for alternate jobs. While they probably wouldn't introduce a quest that generous anymore, needing to clear 3-4 weeks of EX primals (so 9-12 tokens instead of just 3) would be a decent comparison in the current state of the game.

Maybe they'll bring it back with the 3.1 primal fight being the third and have i200 weaps be a reward for a new Primal Focus. I remember that Primal Focus WAR Axe looking so badass xD

Every WAR I knew had to have Dual Hakken. I didn't even *like* WAR and Dual Hakken was one of the first Primal Focus weapons I got. That thing was lovely for its time.

It was only relevant for about 6-7 weeks, though (which gave enough time for Esoterics to release and to actually acquire the weapons). That's generally been the trend with the EX Primals past the original three. They might be relevant at the very beginning of a new patch (and some of them, like Ramuh and Mog, not even then), but give it six weeks or so for things to shake out and they're usually relatively mediocre in terms of rewards again. It'd be nice for them to be compelling at the very least for the entire patch they're introduced in.
