It is not just wow's raids though. Many other MMORPG's have lively and good raids and that feeling of accomplishment when completed is justified.
I completed alex and felt nothing.
I hope SE starts to make their raids bigger with more trash mobs and bosses. Even alex savage seems lackluster and I am not even at the start of that yet.
Again, don't blame the raid system when Alexander is the problem. I take that's your alt. No idea if you completed the Binding Coil of Bahamut Trilogy before the nerfs. SCOB was a masterpiece, imo. It didn't rely on DPS checks but mechanic checks, it was fun to do.It is not just wow's raids though. My issue is the SIZE and how many bosses and trash mobs there is. This is my main and I never did the Coil raid but my wife did. I never saw it, however, again if it was on par size wise as well as trash mobs and bosses then I will agree with you. I am not talking about mechanics and DPS checks.
This is not WoW and it isn't any of those other games. FF14 has it's own variation of endgame raiding, with the main focus being the boss fight of each instance, and this is not a bad thing if done right. Coil was very well designed overall and made good use of that. Alexander has a lot of bad decisions and does not.

This. There's plenty to do in the game. It's just a lot of it, for whatever reason, is unappealing to a majority of the players. They don't necessarily need to churn out more per patch, but definitely focus on creating stuff that has some longevity and isn't immediately outdated in 3-6 months or gated behind some weekly cap/awful grind.
This. Large companies, even profitable ones, are frequently very stingy with their hiring.
I currently work for a large company with stores all over the US and Canada. We've been around for years and are doing quite well, enough so that we even sell our goods in other stores now too. The team I'm on has three employees, and while we could really use at least one more person to help make things run a bit more smoothly, the higher-ups refuse to allow us to hire anyone else. So we're stuck making do with three people, even though we could really use four or maybe even five. And it's not a money issue, either-- it's just a case of them not wanting to pay for any more employees than they absolutely need. Hell, they're even stingy when it comes to letting us order supplies that we need. It's just the way a lot of businesses are and it's not going to change anytime soon.
Most likely because it could have a corkscrew effect. So your team gets another person, now that team wants one because yours got one, then those guys over there want more too, why not everyone else got one, then the others are like where's our help. Now the company is paying more in taxes, insurance, workers comp, we have get them office space a desk, supplies, or whatever to accommodate the new hires, now we got a bunch of FNG's running around that need training on something, more loss. Overhead just went through the roof, stocks went down, shareholders pissed. Did anything really get done faster and turned out better quality work?
I wish they would hire more people so we can get more then 4 bosses per raid. Other mmorpgs have like 12-16 bosses per raid. Would be nice if FFXIV could have more bosses.
How many people could get through that many bosses if it takes people 3 months+ to get through just the 4 bosses we had before (Coil, not Alex)
