Request to Yoshi P: Hire more staff

I don't know if thread to this idea has been made yet but I just thought I would put it out there.

FFXI ARR surpassed all expectations SE and the Devs could have held for it , 2 years and an expansion later, it is still going strong. But the recent issues players have been having (being burned out from lack of current end game content, upset with the long delay between the expansion and the first patch largely due to the devs needing time off) seem like the could be quelled by simply hiring more staff.

I know that some people will say that it would cost money but I would argue with as far as this game has come beyond all expectations they had for it not to mention the addition of the cash shop which was promised to be used to further the game, it should be financially feasible for them to hire more people to their team. In theory additional staff would "pay for themselves" by helping to increase the amount of relevant content per patch, not to mention bringing fresh ideas to the table. If there was more relevant content in each patch, the number of people unsubbing between patches would drop and help pay for the extra staff.

A somewhat related request, allow the NA Community Team to perhaps hold a translated Live Letter a day or two after the Japanese one. I know we have Duty Commenced but those are few and far between and usually way after the Live Letters and after everything has been fan translated. It would be nice to hear the team's thoughts on the content while they read through it, as Yoshida would do. Always wondered why they didn't do this, but w/e, anytime is a good start.

Might get stuff the developers are seemingly incapable of figuring out done, though...

One day I hope they hire someone who knows something about servers... Having this development team go "We scrapped 1.0 because the server architecture was so bad, we couldn't do anything with it!", only for them to turn around and respond to most good suggestions with "Server limitations!" is some kind of bad joke...

Was disagreeing with most posts here until this one, the server limitations response is becoming a really horrid excuse they keep recycling. They need a more American public relations manager if anything.

We don't know. Like on the latest episode of LimitBreakRadio which put forward a good pov. The Staff might played the "Give me some vaction or I...*insert threat*"-card

They did hire new staff, they will be running the true EU datacenter.

"lack of content" is extremely subjective. Where in vast majority of cases, when someone says there's lack of content, its more like "there is a lack of content that im willing to engage in."

WoW has a pretty large staff supporting it... takes them forever to do anything. You can't just throw people at development like this and expect it to get done faster.
