It's not really an excuse. There's a limit to how much data you can write per second and until we get a new standard, it's not going to see a big increase. Atm character data gets updated every 15 seconds in case of a server failure. If they were to increase character data, the write delay would need to be increased. You will only want them to take the risk until your character data gets rolled back. The moment it happens, the forum is full of "I LOST MY XXX, PLS FIX SE!" threads. The only thing they can say after that is "Sorry, we can't return the lost character data"

I get that but it's like their go to excuse when trying to add things to the game. It's only a matter of time before hairstyles can no longer be added to the game.

Hairstyles have nothing to do with character data limits, though, PS3 and its RAM, however...
