    1. How do you feel about the patch frequency?
I am looking forward to all the changes & improvements so of course I wish they were more frequent but I believe that once the major Battle-Reform Blueprint is in place, future patches (content) will be more frequent.

    2. How do you feel about the changes themselves?
I like what's been done so far (except punching mobs an an Archer. I would prefer a kick to the groin (them, not me) or a nice roundhouse kick to the head) and I am looking forward to all the changes & improvements so of course I wish they were more frequent but I believe that once the major Battle-Reform Blueprint is in place, future patches (content) will be more frequent.

    3. How do you feel this game will fair against current upcoming titles?
"Current upcoming" titles is a non sequitur but seeing as FFXIV is the only MMO I am currently playing and I do not plan to play any upcoming titles (maybe GW2, MAYBE), it will fair quite well for me...if a few hundred thousand others feel similar.

    4. Do you think this game will ever exceed niche popularity?
Depends on one's definition. If by niche we mean "not as popular in the U.S.", than it will always be a niche market. But I expect XIV to be very popular in Japan (PS3) and in Europe, maybe Australia too. U.S market will be the niche.

    5. Do you think the changes are in the right or wrong direction?
They are going in the right direction for me personally (see this old post for my perspective) but I am quite well aware that not everyone shares my vision. (Sometimes, I think Yoshi does though...kinda scary actually.)

    6. Do you think the they have focused on the most important things historically with patches or should the focus have been elsewhere?
This is a tough one because I was one of the masses that was bored stiff with the released game and demanded content. I wasn't exactly enamored with the Armory System (as implemented) or the Battle-Mechanics, but I could've lived with 'em if I had something fun to do.
However once they announced the Battle Reform Blueprint and Jobs System (even the Crafting), I now really wish they wouldn't release ANY new content untill all these New Systems are in place and working properly. I want to experience everything fresh, so I don't play much but of course I can't resist a post-patch login...or two...or more.

    1. How do you feel about the patch frequency?
SE may need more employees to get em out faster. Slow but steady isnt really good for them right now.

    2. How do you feel about the changes themselves?
Headed in the right direction but too slow.

    3. How do you feel this game will fair against current upcoming titles?
Work needs to be done before the upcoming titles arrive or else a comeback will be tougher.

If elder scrolls Skyrim Had Multiplayer it would = certain Doom

    4. Do you think this game will ever exceed niche popularity?
That is uncertain at this point, due to the narrow minded content this game Currently poseses.

    5. Do you think the changes are in the right or wrong direction?
Absolutly anything from Its current form is a step in the right direction.

    6. Do you think the they have focused on the most important things historically with patches or should the focus have been elsewhere?
My #1 issue with FFXIV is the way the level designers got Lazy, Cut and paste all over the place makes me feel like they didin't care. I really dont like the seeing the samething over and over. REVAMP THE LAND!

    7. What Do i think this game is lacking.
    -Diverse land scape
    -creative custom level designs
-the land scape is just BAD
    -Interactivety with the enviroment
    -Cliffhanger areas.
    -Collosus NM for each Zone
    -Voice acting for quests.
-Mog House with furniture (I feel downgraded for FFXI)
    -Auction House
    -Zone Domination.
-player controlled tranportation. Ex. company ships & airships . like in FF7
    -INOVATION-
-social areas like a tavern with actual service (because its FUN and uneccesary and thats what a mmo game is supposed to be). ex/ playstation home.

Don't really feel the need to answer the other questions because I think the game is moving in the right direction faster than any MMO I've ever seen in need of fixes.

    3. How do you feel this game will fair against current upcoming titles?

Even in it's current state I have not seen any new MMO that has rivaled this one. It's only real compitition atm is WoW(can only go down), LOTRO(cult/f2p), and lol Rift.

If any game has a chance to hurt this games comeback it will be Star Wars, but every Star Wars game ever made has been exactly what this game was, a lot of Hype and a massive let down. SO i'm not worried. The worst that game will do is take away the SW cult fans. I mean, Terra is already failing and it's not even here yet and honestly, after GW I'm surprised they could afford a second one..

-Auction House (This has been confirmed as in production)
    -Zone Domination.

Just a few suggestions that may be considered if enough people go for them, and noting things that have been confirmed.

Dont really understand your guild wars not affording a second one, it has sold 6.6 million copies to date? if that doesnt warrant a part 2, i dont know what your expectations are.

It was also one of the first MMO's to run on a free-2-play model, though I never understood how they were able to profit from that considering the server fee and development cost continued.

    1. How do you feel about the patch frequency?
I feel it is very slow but with considering that they are trying to remake a game while it is live then it does not bother me.

    2. How do you feel about the changes themselves?
The changes are in the right direction but the game itself is still boring.

    3. How do you feel this game will fair against current upcoming titles?
Depends on the end game once complete. It is too soon to say for an unfinished product.

    4. Do you think this game will ever exceed niche popularity?
    No

    5. Do you think the changes are in the right or wrong direction?
Right. Any addition to this game is in the right direction.

    6. Do you think the they have focused on the most important things historically with patches or should the focus have been elsewhere?
Their focus seems to be all over the place and I am not sure if that is a good or bad thing, I do not create video games. I personally feel they should shut the servers completely down and relaunch when the game is complete.

This is possibly true given how many free2play mmo's some korean companies create and constantly maintain.

If the netcode and server logics are clean you can put several hundred players on one server <.<
SE servers are pretty empty and are already constantly overloaded xD
GW always has server stability problems on big events though. Wasn't funny playing with a ping of 50000
