FFXIII is also incredible in 1080p. I think most of the people who gave it bad reviews were playing it on crummy old TVs.Star Ocean - The Last Hope
I was used to playing that in 720p on my old T.V, but the font size was very small and hard to read.
I got a 32 inch 1080p HD T.V for christmas and decided to play Star Ocean again.
My first reaction was:
"YOU CAN SEE THE WORLD REFLECTED IN THEIR EYES IT'S *THAT* DETAILED!!!!" :O
My second reaction was:
"Horray I can read what they're saying now."
Graphically some games, such as Star Ocean, truly shine in 1080p HD as long as you know what kind of details to look out for.
Other games like CoD Black Ops however, are trash no matter what resolution you run it in.
Personally I can't sit too long in front of a PC while playing games. I just get too uncomfortable playing MMOs on my laptop. I'd much prefer playing games on a console. I can then lay back with just a controller in my hand and play games for hours. While playing FFXI for 6+ years, I always played on console systems. Most of the reason why I don't play FFXIV very much is because I can't quite stand playing games on PC.
I keep hearing people say the game is poorly optimized, just how much more performance could be had with this game if it was optimized better? and would the UI lag be reduced?
PC gaming will never die simply because everyone has to have a computer. The main problem is PC gaming is steadily becoming more casual and parts are becoming progressively more expensive. You can thank Face Book and GPUs for that.
Consoles are cheaper, easier to learn, and have adopted the steam style digital market approach. They can't kill PC gaming but the truth is Consoles are becoming computers and Monitors are becoming TVs. PS3 and Wii are compatible with Mouse and Keyboard already.
We all need to stop pretending that one is better than the other and resign ourselves to the fact that Both PC and Console gaming started in the same place as one device and they are slowly becoming one device again.

1. Insert VGA/HD cable from computer to back of T.V
2. Purchase and install dual-analog PC controller
3. Lay back with controller in hand and play FFXIV for hours.
This is how I play Silent Hill 3, it simply doesn't work with a mouse and keyboard, so I use a control-pad, set up the button bindings to that of a PS2 control pad, then pretend I'm playing the PS2 version, but with better graphics.
But it's still 720p HD. Look at the cover back on the case.Star Ocean - The Last Hope

Star Ocean 4: HD 720p
FF XIII: HD 720p, 1080, 1080p
On the back of my Star Ocean: The Last Hope X-box 360 case it says: HDTV 720p/1080i/1080p, and it's a noticable difference between 720p and 1080p
Is yours the PS3 version?
I love the logic of the OP. The changes to the game are to appease the PS3 playerbase. Not sure how that makes any sense, seeing as only PC players have played the game and THEY are the ones who, for the most part, did not enjoy the game. It was the PC player reactions that prompted all the overhauls to the game. How this gets "blamed" (not sure why we would complain about changes to XIV at this point) on PS3 players, is beyond me.
Its beyond me how the forum could spend 12 pages on this topic, but it is funny. If the OP is a moron (and I am the OP) then the forum has spoken for itself.I love the logic of the OP.
