Make gear 10 levels above you flash vibrant neon pink as a way to say "WTF are you doing wearing this??!!!"

and LOL @ people getting all deep into what the color symbolizes and means to them turning them into metaphors. Just pick a color.

It shouldn't really be a "just pick your favorite color" thing. The colors, in this case, symbolize a piece of the UI designed to help people more easily see at a glance how "fit" their gear is for their current level. So, a color fitting the information it represents (unity) should be used, not just whatever the community's favorite color is.

Honestly ask most people what their favorite colour is and green would be one of the ones at the bottom of the list, alongside brown and grey.

But I like green ,green makes me think the item is uncommon, this then makes me think I am wearing a full set of dungeon aquired gear.

Yellow would make me think all my gear is legendary. This would make me believe I am uber leet and can take on enemies 20 levels above me. I will cry when I discover it is not the case.

So save me from tears and make it green.

I think if you are above the recomended rank or equivlent to it the color should be white. If the item is higher than your rank then the color could be Orange > Red to alert you.

So what? its a Majority Preference nothing wrong with that, and the way this Forum Complain on a daily basis over little stuff, Its defin. a Right question to ask considering the Forums current situation.
