Hey another thread on warriors..
Hey another thread on warriors..
That's because we're the greatest at everything and everybody wants to be like us. But because they can't they want to stick it to the man and drag us down to their second class citizen levels.
Because there were so many WARs coming on the forums and complaining about everything, right?the problem remains that warrior is the only tank that will remain viable without having endgame cater to either phys or mag damage, and thats unnacceptable. PREFERABLY, other tanks should be buffed, but since so many disagree with that (looking at you, fragile ego warriors) the only other option would be to nerf warriors, correct?
Nerf WAR, I honestly couldn't care less. I enjoy the WAR playstyle, but at the end of the day I play what my group needs me to play. I started ARR as a PLD, I swapped to WAR because that's what was required and stuck with it because my co-tank opted to swap to DRK (even though he'd much rather play PLD).

there certainly seem to be many warriors in this thread complaining about the idea that they shouldnt be the god-tank.
on a serious note though, both my girlfriend and i love how warrior plays, we both enjoyed it very much in 2.0 and we continue to enjoy it, but we also believe that square should strike some sort of balance between the tanks. thats something we simply arent seeing here in this expac.
i remember when you had to take two paladins to clear endgame, warriors were enraged and complained endlessly, and it was completely justified, because it was horribly balanced. Nobody should have to switch from their preferred job because of "whats required" and as you said, thats exactly whats happening. people that dont even necessarily like warrior are playing it because its THAT powerful compared to other tanks, its literally required. it shouldnt be accepted by anyone, especially people who love to play warrior.
Coming from a warrior, this class is insanely overtuned.
No class should be this powerful compared to its peers. If Storm's Path stacked, you would see comps with double and maybe even triple warrior. It's ridiculous and I'd like to either strengthen the other two tanks or peg this one down just to have some parity.
In terms of game design, it is probably better to nerf 1 overpowered class than to give a strong buff to 2 classes (and possibly have to buff non-tank classes as well).
I didn't read the whole thread but someone commented about SCH being the most powerful healer. I main Scholar. Guess what? We got nerfed in Heavensward. Our faeries took a 30% unannounced nerf in power with the power scaling from 50 to 60. Our "300 potency" faerie heals are actually putting out 200 now. I don't go around complaining because my class is still good and I still love it.
Objection! Scholars remain the only healer that can complete any instance without ever turning off cleric stance. In terms of game design, it is probably better to nerf 1 overpowered class than to give a strong buff to 2 classes (and possibly have to buff non-tank classes as well).

I survived first and second room in Continuum as a WAR with no heal at all except an essential dignity in 1st room. AST can do it too (granted, I got a crit equilibrium at 12k heal and some nice dps)
can you give the average dps the average tank do ? same ilevel, same force stat in mono target with an exemple of fight, in dps stance, the pld, the dark and the war off course
(without potion)
