    Here's a gear comparison.

    LFR (aka FFXIV's Normal):

    Normal & Heroic(different colorations iirc):

There's a lot of reasons WoD lost over half of WoW's population, and that's one of them (several threads on their forums with the OP receiving severeal hundred votes to bring back normal sets into LFR.

This is how it was in MoP (LFR, and the rest. Can't remember the pre-WoD naming schemes for difficulties).

Yeah, the reason wow COULD do that is that heroic and normal raiders ALWAYS have the best gear in contrast to LFR. In this game, raiders won't even be close to ilvl210 before the gear is just handed to people for the easiest of effort.

Wow could give a little in way of gear sets to the LFR crowd because raiders in that game have so so so much more prestige. Heroic raiding, in MoP, gave the best gear you could get until the next major raid patch. You also got exclusive mounts and titles every raid tier! You even got exclusive bosses! Bosses you could only see on the absolute hardest difficulty. Also, the conclusion of each raid was staggered from the release of the normal mode version of the raid, so the story was not spoiled.

This game does so little of that. Which is fine, we knew that back in ARR. Most raiders in this game at least felt they had an epic experience raiding in coil. Since gear is not a viable reward for raiding in this game, that epic experience is vastly more important. Also, we only got one minion and one title out of three raid tiers in ARR. Compare that to wow and maybe more of you can empathize why the raiding community is becoming so salty.

At this point, we virtually have nothing in way of a unique look, a proper reward schedule for loot in raiding, and far more raiders just don't have the 3 lockouts at five nights a week amount of time to get a3s and a4s down before 3.1.

This raid tier was a flop and SE will keep it's casual player base regardless, but raiders are up and leaving the game over many of these facts. You pick any of the points in this thread and I can show you at least a handful of names on my FL that have stopped logging in over that topic. The sad truth is that it's far more than a handful of people for some of these topics.

In six weeks, the only reason to do alex is for vanity gear and the challenge. BiS will come from airship island exploration. Your 210 weapon will come from your relic. Everyone will be showered in gear and alex savage will just become the new SCoB savage, you know, the thing everyone LOVED to do.

I didn't like coil before I did it, still don't like it. really don't want more of it. none of it's story makes it worth the stress.

the point of savage and coil was for it's challenge to so called hard core players. personally I'm insulted with their so called hard core content and refuse to touch it.

I'm not the only one looking at your request thinking "hell no, find something else to do"

"I don't raid but I feel my conjecture about the topic carry's weight"

Do you know why people don't want to touch it?

You do know that raider is not a synonym for a hardcore player right? Just like there is highly skilled casual players, there are more casual raiders.

Plenty of midcore raiding statics that raided 7-9 hours a week cleared T13 before nerfs, that same static will not get an a4s clear.

Take your Juvenal offended self and think about how these people pay an honest sub, just like you, and the content that IS designed for these people has be a total flop this tier.

Being able to dye something that is already in game kinda doesn't appeal to me, especially when the original color suits it the best. But that's just mine opinion.
It would really help is one of the best colors on the gear was not the default option of the NM loot.

You are absolutely wrong about that. Coil was reserved for no one, at all. Coil could be entered by anyone who had a party of eight and entrance to later coils required completion of the 1st set of turns.

An unwillingness to do content by most players is not the same as saying it was reserved for some special segment of the player base. Also, a lot of casual raid groups existed in ARR. Not so much now, but back in ARR you could be a much more casual raider.

People are making legitimate points about the the things wrong with alex savage and your rebuttal is "huur durr e-peen"
