Additiona freel retainers

Why ask for more retainers, when we could be asking for a personal bank. Pretty much make a player bank version of an fc bank. I opted fir an extra retainer, but id prefer a personal bank system like fc bank it holds alot more stuff imo. and we could make a personal chest item for housing.

The way you sounded was very condescending. If you received a similar sounding reply by others, it was probably because of the way you worded your posts.

I made worst case assumptions about the numbers, I've worked with Really large databases for more than a couple of decades, making space estimates is part of the job, as is understanding system architecture.

As much as I want to trust your word on that, I really can't. Not that it matters though because you seem to have missed that I completely agree with your points that a third retainer would be very welcome. It was unnecessary to argue with me because I already agreed in the first place.

I honestly don't know how people have inventory problems unless they keep every little bit of gear and crafting mat they get.

I will say though, we will need a free extra retainer at some point. The more items they add to the game, even the most dedicated of non-hoarders will run out of space eventually.

I only keep few bits that I want for glamour and every bow from a dungeon/trial/raid drop... still missing T9, T13, A4s and Vault bows for the full collection. The rest are mats for crafting and atm most of my old FC room while waiting to get a new one to place it all - once that's done should again have room to store mats for crafting.

The storage space for 8 retainers is locked for every char, if they pay for the 6 additional retainers or not.

And yes. More retainers for money are pay2win. With 2 retainers on ventures I've made some millions of gil in the last weeks just by them. If I would have 8 retainers, I could get much more out of it.

They need to do is the system that Diablo 3 use for vanity items. Once a piece of gear drop gets added to the list of that slot. You can even toss that gear away to free space for yourself since the glamour will be there to be selected.

Heck, they could even add achievements for how many sets you completed and/or telling you to go to x dungeon or fight looking as y set gear.

But again I know the answer for this: PS3 Server limitations, because we all know that we are in 2015 and not 2006. We shouldn't have problems at all with current technology. It was Yoshi-P fault to promise PS3 release. For the looks of it PS3 with this expansion is about to explode so it won't be long for them stop supporting it. I bet the 4.0 wont get PS3 support or else would explode for real.

I'm fine with having extra retainers but I refuse to pay a monthly sub. I think it should be a one time purchase. $10, new retainer to stay.

I'm not sure that the MB issue is a space one is it? Would they not be more concerned about giving potential RMT accounts 50% more slots to sell things on the MB potentially crowding out real players?

If they're honestly concerned about RMT sale slots, they can give each retainer an extra page of inventory space (another 100 items) instead of giving us all a free retainer...


EDIT: Or, better yet, they can give us a free Lazy retainer. Their max level is 1 in every class and they won't sell items on the MB. You can give them a class so you can equip them with glamour gear, but you can't send them out on ventures. They're just there to look pretty and hold your stuff. There, problems solved. Can we have more free space now? :P

The man already said no. Its 2 dollars per retainer per month. Skip 1 happy meal (you don't need it) a month and you have a retainer, skip 2 and you have 2 retainers. I mean really?
