They acknowledge that new content is a good business relationship with the consumer. They provided regular content to maintain that relationship.

They acknowledge the subscription is for server access. Once that transaction is made and the access provided, they owe nothing. Finito. What they do with the money is their prerogative. It is not a solid grounds for arguing that they should provide content (but a good business relationship is).

And if you don't agree that the company (Square-Enix) is meeting those standards, thus reducing the quality of the product, you are able to end the "relationship" by taking your "business" elsewhere. They should be critiqued and held accountable on that level.
