Blood Weapon isnt really a stance though, it's a timed buff. You pop it and you get some regen/attack speed for a short time. Technically, Darkside is the other "stance" they have, but unlike paladins/warriors, Darkside can and should be used at the same time as their tanking stance.

The concept behind the DRK is that, outside of regular Syphon strikes, when tanking you should use Blood Price to regen MP (as you're getting hit), and when offtanking and thus not needing grit Blood Weapon is the go-to. You shouldn't really be dropping Grit purely for Blood Weapon use unless you're specifically planning on DPSing a particular phase of a fight and the healer is aware. Of course, in practise when it comes to minmaxing DPS then sure, but you shouldnt -need- blood weapon for MP regen when in tanking stance as Syphon Strike and Blood Price should be plenty.

I can see the advantage of Blood Weapon disabling Grit when you press it, but given that it does only last a small duration and is off the global cooldown (whereas Grit requires a GCD to activate) I can't see them implementing something like this.

I really like this idea. Would make it much easier to swap back and forth instead of having to wait for the end of the GCD to disable Grit.

You can easily drop Grit and use your shadow skin i think it's called defensive cooldown to give you the same amount of defense as you would have with Grit i fit was on (20% or so i think dmg reduction) for that extra burst of dps. Although i don't think you should do this in raids or extreme trials very often. It's a nice dps increase for dungeons and trash mobs. i feel like even though you are a main tank you should learn to utilize all the skills given to ya
