The lesser gear would be pointless it'd still level sync everything unless we were talking wolves' den. It'd also be a completely different set entirely from the rank 50 one and they'd probably end up reusing models. You're right there's no progression to PvP gear, but there's no meaningful content to actually use the PvP gear; The benefits of their secondary stats are at best negligible in seal rock and lvl 60 wolves den is still far far off, that it's kinda pointless to ask for a reduction in ranks when you could be gainin them right now (assuming you're that interested into PvP to begin with, which is the difference between just doing it to get glamour pieces which may be the case for some people here).

I'm rank 42 with around 398 matches, and I hate PvP (specifically, I hate frontlines and how it's presented). I don't do dozens of matches every day like a hardcore PvPer would (average around 30-40 matches per week over the course of 8 or so, and I'd probably hit rank 50 at this rate within the next 2-3 weeks at the rate I'm going. The grind isn't as bad as making it out to be (honestly, 7 weeks of matches every day and still only rank 17? Even if you were doing 2 per day and got dead last every single time you'd be at least rank 20 as someone pointed out, and this isn't even factoring roulette bonus or challenge log), and if you're the sort of person that only does 1 per day, well I don't think you're that big into PvP to begin with, long queue times or not.

What I can agree with is that the pvp exp reward has a huge discrepancy between 3rd/2nd and 1st that second place is effectively "first to lose" because there's no meaning behind it, and it's utterly frustrating in a three-way format (and this is across the board with achievements and even online trackers).

All the motivation I need. I'm retiring to my estate as soon as I hit 200 wins. Maybe until wolves den. I severely dislike large scale fights, it gets too disorganized at times. Espesically 3-way objective ones where it's not so much being outplayed by the other team, but one team that wants to screw you over the entire game.

It wouldn't be pointless. It wouldn't have accuracy (most PvP gear is Crit/Det weighted), and Morale pushes the item level higher than the level sync. While you can collect other gear in PvE that won't have accuracy and cobble together a decent set, it's not as satisfying in terms of a reward structure. If there was starter gear, there'd be something to keep you going (and given how you end up swamped with Marks long before you're anywhere near getting your Rank 46+ stuff, it would certainly "feel" good to be able to spend it on something you can actually use).
