Ranks are horrible in this game with no conceivable way of earning them in a timely frame. I've been pvping every day for the past 7 weeks and i'm only rank 18 and the rank system keeps climbing up, and this is all just to wear ilvl 180 gear that I already have ilvl 200-190. I am sure some masochistic character will play every day for 20 hours a day PvPing to earn these ranks, but i'm not willing to do that.

Honestly, the rank system in this game is one of the most horrible systems i've ever seen. At least let us glamour the gear.

Might as well rename the description:

"Cannot equip until next year."

If it was ilvl 200 gear I would understand the serious requirement. However currently its way beyond anything for mostly appearance gear. Its a rant, take it how you like it.

I dont understand how you are rank 18 if you pvp'd everyday the past 7 weeks.
The gear isn't just glamour either. It might get important in the upcoming WD Patch.

If you lost literally every single FL match in those 7 weeks, you'd only need 25 losses to hit rank 18

Which means over 49 days, you have FL'd 25 times, 1 match every 2 days at the absolute most, this isnt even factoring in the challenge log experience

why not just rank one character up like the game intended? not sure if you've noticed but there is zero reason to have alts in this game for the sake of progression...

Maybe I kind of like having different characters do different things. I don't think my girly looking Miqo'te should be a tank. So I leveled up another character to be my tank. Even if I spent all that time doing it on one it is still a ridiculous grind.

you arnt even grinding that, you are dipping your toe into it once every few days and pretending thats a grind
