Yes, but there is already inclusive content in the game. The new raids. This content would be fun and a nice change of pace. Contested Dungeons are VERY different from normal ones.
Its not very friendly. However its not meant for the weak.
Contested Content if its done right usually survives a lot longer then average dungeons.
Other parties mean the content is more dynamic, which means its less boring.
That last sentence may be an obstacle to this type of content. FFXIV almost litterally goes out of it's way to encourage teamplay, cooperative play and friendliness. Preventing players from verbaly griefing others is why 'tells' dontwork in dungeons. I'm also not sure that the highly contested element pitching warriors of light against each other fits the game.
It is almost certainly not going to have anything to do with PVP. It's been left out of the translations but Yoshi-P basically emphasized that if you meet other parties out in the field you can chat with them and work together (チャットしながら進んでください). Zero mention of fighting them, and frankly it makes sense because it would be really stupid for alliances of 24 people to just run around whomping anyone who dares queue solo or as a small group lol.Yes, but there is already inclusive content in the game.
